Speechwriter David Frum says Conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh is hurting the Republican Party.
Rush is new (talking) head of the GOP His controversial quips come faster than a locomotive and he leaps over spineless Republicans in a single sound bite.
He's Rush Limbaugh - and he's kryptonite for the GOP, says conservative pundit David Frum. Frum, an influential former Bush speechwriter, charges in this week's Newsweek that the bombastic radio talk show host is trashing the Republican Party by allowing the Democrats to anoint him de facto party leader.
"Limbaugh is kryptonite, weakening the GOP nationally," writes Frum, who coined the term "Axis of Evil."
Frum notes that Limbaugh is a seriously polarizing figure among swing voters, independents and women.
Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) - who in 2002 compared Limbaugh with a circus clown and then apologized if he had offended circus clowns - called the Limbaugh chatter "a distraction" from "the biggest economic crisis since the Great Depression."

Go away.
And close the door tightly when you leave.
The Conservative movement is not leaving you.
You have left us.
Goodbye.

Speechwriter David Frum says Conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh is hurting the Republican Party. Forcing the GOP to choose between conservative, and democRAT lite is not a bad thing.

G.W. Bush was and is toxic poison to the conservative ideals once part of the GOP;I know of several friends who refused to vote for McCain because "it will be just a continuation of Bush's term".
G>W. Bush failed to justify his policies to the American people ,failed to control spending;actually expanded the government spending, control over your life, eroded privacy, and his ties to Haliburton and the huge profiteering by corporations related to the Iraq war all hurt the GOP more than Rush.
Rush speaks when the GOP will not.

Isn't it obvious what is going on here? The ‘Rats and their friends in the media are conflating Limbaugh and the GOP to make both a caricature of their true selves. That way whomever the ‘Pubs nominate in ‘12 is painted with Limbaugh's face. That is the reason for the flood of unflattering pictures of Rush and all the chatter among the ruling classes. If the nominee in ‘12 is Palin or Jindal or Cantor or whoever, they are going to make him/her a latter-day version of Barry Goldwater in the ‘64 campaign, IOW, a total distortion. The way things are going, the country will be in such bad shape by then that it is the only way Obombah and the ‘Rats can win.
