Liberals told to leave
Tulsa World ^ | 3/7/09 | Randy Krehbiel

(An instructor for a hunter safety course orders Obama voters to get out of his class.)

Thirteen-year-old Lane Dunkley just wanted to go hunting with his grandfather.

What he got was a lecture on politics.

Dunkley and his father, Daniel Reddy, who live in Tulsa, went to Broken Arrow on Tuesday night for a hunter safety course normally required to get an Oklahoma hunting license.

The class was a reward of sorts. Dunkley, who wants to go hunting with his grandfather, was told he could take the class only if he brought up his grades.

So he did — to a B-plus average.

But when father and son arrived at the lesson, the volunteer instructor, Kell Wolf, asked if any of the students voted for President Barack Obama.

Reddy, a transplanted Californian — and former Marine — raised his hand.

According to Reddy and others in the room, Wolf called Obama "the next thing to the Antichrist" and ordered Reddy and Dunkley from the room. When Reddy refused, Wolf said he would not teach "liberals" and would cancel the course if Reddy didn't leave.

I don’t care what the class, teachers should keep their political comments to themselves. I didn’t like it when I was younger and a Dem to hear teachers rant on about their politics. I don’t like it now if the instructor is a conservative. Teach the class, and forget about politics is my message.

I can’t imagine a *liberal* Marine.

We call most of them ex-Marines. However, there are some on active duty and in the reserves and most of them are simply ticket punchers.

Murtha, Glenn, Dellums, Kovac, Ritter, Carville, Garwood, Lonetree, Dennehy, etc.

I can’t blame the guy for feeling like he does.

I don’t agree with what he did, but I can’t blame him for how he feels.

I’m kind of mad at those Obama voters too.

“if this instructor did something like this, he’s a moron and shouldn’t be teaching anything.”

Agree. IF the instructor did this, he shoudn’t be teaching.

Being offended in America seems to be about the worst thing that can happen to a liberal. It’s right up there with Waterboarding.

But I wonder how much sympathy that Obama supporter has for a man who did NOT vote for Obama and is denied a gun permit so he can protect his family. I see no difference in the two. There’s no story being written about conservatives who are denied their rights every day because liberals have total control over their lives.

If they don’t like being denied rights then they should learn to vote more responsibly in the furture

I had forgotten about Murtha, Carville, and Lee Harvey Oswald. They are among the few who would qualify as “ex” Marines.

“I had a whole platoon of liberal Marines. They were either in the brig, waiting to go to the brig, or on their way out of the Corps.”

They probably were some of my husband’s former or future tenants (he’s a retired prison warden).

You’re on the ball. Not only was he stooping to DU and HuffPo tactics but he was totally unprofessional, especially as a volunteer for a state-sanctioned event.

As a design professional, I get lots of dim Dem clients in the Chicagoland area and I have to bite my tongue and behave professionally more often than not. Most of the contractors and consultants I deal with are libertarians and we’re amazed at the blind belief in big government.

And that’s also why there are service members who vote liberal and Dem; somewhere in their mind, they think civilian government can be an extension of the military and all it needs is a change in discipline and training in order for everybody to have their entitlement. Not likely! If one reads Making the Corps by Thomas Ricks, there exists a pretty strong separation between the Marines and the general population. The more time passes, the higher that wall gets.

In Wisconsin, I believe, that Hunter Safety courses are taught by the DNR. At least the one my son went to was.

If that was the case here, this is blatantly wrong!

Not smart. One of the best ways to get a liberal over their fear of guns (and simultaneously get them to start thinking about their freedom and rights) is to take them shooting or hunting.

That’s mild to what liberals did to Bush, Palin and supporters of conservatism. The instructor should have thrown a shoe at him instead and let him stay..

First, I can’t imagine a *liberal* Marine.

It's hard to believe but there are a bunch of them...

Some that come to mind include:

James Carville

John Chaffee (Lincoln Chaffee's daddy, and one of the most rabidly anti-gun senators, ever)

John Murtha

Charlie Rangle

And those are just the ones off the top of my head...

I’m embarrased by your presence here.

You have no moral compass, and you hate liberty. Why would you even want to be here?

This is surely partisan discrimination. To even things out, Planned Parenthood should deny abortions to anyone who voted for any pro-life politicians. That would make things fair.

"as you get older and mature, liberal notions are exposed for the BS they are."

I'd like to disabuse you of that fallacious notion.

Liberalism is a blend of greed, sloth, hatred, and bitterness that worsens with age.
