Fed Ex has lost 20% of it's early week stock value in the last 48 hours. The package delivery business is taking a beating but Fed Ex is in free fall. Did the One announce a bailout for them?

Well, the government subsidized mail service came to an end way back in 1973. It's in all the history books.
Since I've read all of them I'll clue you in ~ Congress usually approved a temporary rate increase for the duration of the economic dislocation.

FedEx has never been able to find my house and I’ve had to go to their warehouse to pick up my packages.
UPS has never had that problem.
Let’em crash.

Fed ex was my favorite for a while, much better than UPS. But like all things they have slipped into the morass of mediocrity we seem to be suffering from...

Fed-X and UPS should merge and become Fed-Up!!!

I just jokingly told my mom that I’m going to print out flyers that say exactly that and put them on the windshields or every car that *still* has an Obama sticker on it. I think I’d add a little “Thanks alot, Doofus” on there as well, for good measure.
I doubt I’d waste the ink, but there would be some slight satisfation in that.

Alas, USPS does not have unlimited cash. I doubt Congress will let it go out of business, but they’ll take some heavy duty paycuts (just like they did back in the Great Depression when their predecessor agency was known as Post Office Department).

Only if you fire all the managers at USPS first. In my experience the UPS managers are a cut above most of the rest in the mail, baggage and express business.
Fed-Ex has a bunch of "passed over for promotion" types from the "other mail, baggage and express" companies.
BTW, part of my plan to privatize USPS included a leveraged buyout of UPS.
