WASHINGTON - From a Lexington office complex, Mitt Romney's political action committee has ensured the former presidential candidate's omnipresence on cable news shows, ....

But for the next year and a half, the center of Romney's political universe will shift west to Sacramento, where key parts of his operation have reassembled on behalf of Meg Whitman, a longtime friend and former business colleague ....

The former eBay CEO is still readying her headquarters, but it has already become something of a campaign-in-exile for Romney's ambitions, which could include another presidential run in 2012....

"Mitt's going to be involved in dozens and dozens of races, but one that he's particularly excited about is the race for governor of California," said Eric Fehrnstrom, a Romney spokesman....

A Whitman victory could deliver Romney a valuable foothold in a state that will likely be a big, early prize on the Republican nominating calendar. Her 2010 campaign will also offer a...

Romney and Whitman both harshly criticized the $787 billion stimulus package championed by President Obama and congressional Democrats, saying it includes too much bloated spending and not enough tax cuts. Whitman is also railing against the plan, signed into law yesterday, of tax increases and spending cuts to plug California's $42 billion budget deficit, saying in a statement it "will kill jobs, hurt families, and make future deficits worse."

The parallel careers of Romney and Whitman - ...

‘I’m still open to any factual based evidence you can find.’

Obviously thats just not the case. McCain got 37% of the total votes cast in the primaries when they still ‘mattered’.

Do the math. Without Huckabee, McCain still gets 37%.

Romney gets close to 50%.

‘I said ‘A Conservative can’t get elected to the Governors Mansion in CALIFORNIA.”
So you support a liberal, right? That’s the logical conclusion of your repeated assertion. ‘

Look up ‘logic’ is my best advice. You aren’t displaying it here.

Until conservatives quit getting sucked into this losing game these people are playing, they won’t be able to make any advancement in the mission of saving this country from the Leftists who are quickly destroying it.

The enemy is in the camp.

Whatever. I did as you ask, and I’m okay with my responses. You aren’t. Big deal.

We disagree. Its allowed in Conservative forums. Its not allowed in Liberal Forums.

And thats the difference between us and ‘them’.

At least thats how I see it.

She favors allowing for the killing of innocent human life Resty...that is unforgivable. The sinner needs to be admonished not supported in their sin. Supporting a pro-abortion candidate is cooperation in evil and must be unequivocally rejected.

A dirt bag is someone who supports the taking of innocent human life. I don’t support dirt bags. I reject any and every politician who cooperates in this evil.

LOL You keep posting your opinions and now, meaningless data.

So far, not one iota of factual evidence have you presented.

Maybe you can find some fact based analysis of concerning these two issues. Otherwise, you’re just pissing in the wind.

Well, there are only three choices possible in the face of your repeated assertion:

1. You run and support true conservatives no matter what you think the chances might be. As George Washington said, "Let us raise a standard to which the wise and honest can repair; the rest is in the hands of God."

2. You could run nobody, because you've given up on conservatism. (That is if you ever really believed in it.)

3. You can support a liberal, like Mitt Romney or Meg Whitman.

I choose "1."

You’ve yet to post a fact to back up your assertions regarding me, why should I do so for you?

Reread the thread, or have somebody read it to you, slowly.

Should those like Meg Whitman who have God given talent be tossed aside because they are not in lock step with ones personal perfect list.

She is, by her own words, a supporter of killing little defenseless children in the womb, and making YOU pay for it.

This is not "God-given talent." It is demon-inspired evil.

The protection of the God-given, unalienable right to life is the purpose of government and the cornerstone of liberty.

You're so enamored of this man that you've allowed him to lead you into supporting wickedness.

ROTFLMAO

In #44 you posted:

>>>>>>More Republicans voted for Romney than McCain from what I can tell.

In #52 I posted:

"In the GOP primaries McCain received 9,840,746 or 47.25% to Willard's 4,525,036 21.73%."

I've posted facts, you've posted empty headed opinions.

Good for you. And in the end, a Conservative won’t win the Governors race in California.

You desperately want to believe there is a politician’s ‘magic bullet conservative’ in a state thats as far left as you can get without being flat out communist.

I’m a realist, and know its a fools errand. From taxation, to gasoline regulations, from unionization to gun restrictions, California’s voters have shown time and time again THEY don’t see it as EITHER ONE OF US do politically.

The difference is you think banging your head against that particular wall is ‘noble’.

Its not, its stupid and causes a bump on your head...or at the rate you seem to be going, a skull fracture.

You might as well assert you can convert Barney Frank to straight sexual orientation. Or you can convince Nancy Pelosi her views on taxation and gun control are 100% wrong.

The state is LIBERAL. From its two Senators, to its overall House Represenation, to its mayors, to its dog catchers. All across the spectrum.

Thats not my fault. Its not Romney’s fault.

Its the choice of a clear majority of its residents. Thats just the way it is, here and now. Maybe a decade from now it will swing back to the Right, but for the foreseeable future its going to remain a LIBERAL ENCLAVE.

And we are BOTH CORRECT. Those following these exchanges, and myself, understand this.

You don’t. Its okay.

I’m a realist

No you're not. You're shortsighted unto blindness.

Doing right is always practical in the long run.

Why?

Because God is.

WOW! Now you’re really backing off and for good reason.

You have no evidence, you have no proof and from your replies on this thread, you have no brains either.

Carry on.

Supporting pro-abort, gun-grabbing, illegal alien-loving liberals is really going to solve that, right! /s

I’m okay with the forum reading these exchanges, and deciding who actually understands politics nationally, and specifically as it related to California.

You obviously, are not okay with it, hence the move into personal insults, on top of your own inability to answer multiple questions.

Run along, little man, run along.

Actually, it is. It is folks exactly like you and Romney and Whitman who have compromised away conservative governance at every pass.

Who you support in an internet forum doesn’t change the voting demographics of the most populous state in this nation.

I’m not the problem here. California’s liberal majority is.

Sheesh.

Do YOU live in California? I don’t.
