Race #2 from SoCal .. fingers crossed.
Bring your slickers and galoshies.
House Star Hugh Laurie is the Grand Marshal For Auto Club 500 At Auto Club Speedway On Feb. 22.
Pray for our troops in harm's way around the globe. God bless their families.
One of my favorite places to be on a race start is Turn 1 at Sears Point. The flag station is under the bridge on driver’s left.
The start of a Group 2 race (winged formula and sports racing cars) is pretty exciting because of how fast those cars are (the fastest cars in this group lap about as fast as a Cup car). The start of a Spec Miata race is exciting because they come through about twelve wide. :)
Oh, BTW, I’m talking about SCCA club racing classes here.
Time to start flaming the track I guess. BTW, I must have missed the rain forecast. My local weather called for rain here 165 miles north, but just clouds at Fontana.
I rarely pay those signs any mind. Once I’m out of the Bay Area, I can easily get away with 15 over (on Interstates marked at 70mph).
Newman is losing parts.
Prayers of protection for your son don-o; we have a young family friend deploying in May to Iraq. He is a LT.
I got a list of soldiers.
My son-in-law did his tour over there and is now retired but he has two brothers over there now. One is on his 3rd tour and the other on his second tour. Twins those two are. Two of my friends got kids there. So, when I’m remember those 4, your son always comes to mind also just from talking here. God’s good that way.
Oscar weather for the 2nd year in a row...
LMAO
This bad.
Is that the New and Improved Sears Point? I was there for the old track between 1 and 2...
Soon to be famous in school kid...
I hate to say this, but that is something my 5 year old grandson would want to do.
DW’s a little off on why they don’t race in the rain.
On ovals, they don’t run in the rain because it’s too dangerous (the walls are right at the edge of the track all the way around).
Everyone else runs in the rain on road courses. And rain racing is pretty interesting to watch; also the poor traction really separates the men from the boys.
I feel SO sorry for that kid...and wonder why his parents allowed that. Looks like a freak show.
I didn’t enter the pool. I was in several season football pools and I couldn’t enjoy a game. :(
Yes, and I refuse to call it Infineon. :)
I'm just now starting to realize the grief that I put my Dad (RIP) through.....
You know the old saying, "the older you got, the smarter the old man got."
Yep, then one day you realize that one of you never had a problem to begin with....:)
Thoughts and prayers for you and Ben.
LOL
