If he has his way, President Barack Obama will dramatically change the nuclear weapons policy of the U.S. – leaving behind Cold War doctrine and looking to a model of a minimal nuclear arsenal -- just ominous enough to do the job of deterrence.
Obama may be mired in the economic stimulus debate, but the clock is also relentlessly ticking on some volatile policy decisions regarding the nation’s aging nuclear arsenal – the stuff of that deterrence. Foreign nations, friend and foe, are poised to discover Obama’s nuclear agenda, while some critics within the U.S. are fearful that the new president will go too far, too fast.
Among the weighty decisions on the president’s plate is whether to extend or renegotiate the Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty (START II) with Russia, which run outs at the end of 2009, and whether to press for ratification of the Comprehensive Nuclear Test Ban Treaty (CTBT) -- with which the U.S. only voluntarily complies, according to a report in USA Today.
The CTBT bans all nuclear explosions in all environments, for military testing or civilian purposes.

If only more people would listen last fall. The video of his list of dismantling out defense and future development of weapons was the single scariest thing I have ever viewed. That McCain never used that video is startling.

There is NO WAY that anyone could convince me that the Obamanation is not an enemy agent intent on the destruction of our country.
It is looking more and more like that is the scenario.
Don’t worry. If America suffers another terrorist attack, a conservative 3rd party will rise from the ashes and restore America’s greatness. :)

The Zero is systematically tearing apart our entire national security apparatus. This is breathtaking!

We have to get off this idea of a third party. A third party is what caused Bill Clinton, it is what caused the runoff in Georgia it is what has led to the Al Sharpton/Norm Coleman fiasco. We have to grassroots help Steele rebuild the GOP. If everyone keeps talking 3rd part the only person who is going to benefit is the democratic party and Obama. If we even survive four years of him I will be stunned... eight years will be unfathonable.
