Striking An Effective Blow Against Tyranny
Self | 11 February 2009 | Windflier

Posted on 02/11/2009 2:53:09 PM PST by Windflier

Fellow Patriots,

Obama and his Socialist Democrats have truly thrown down the gauntlet with their Trillion Dollar "Stimulus" bill. The Democrats are going for broke to move America into a condition of permanent Socialism. Next stop: full blown Marxism / Communism.

I've become convinced that we citizens no longer have true representation in our government, and our votes aren't making much of a difference, either.

No one in Washington is listening to what We The People need and want any longer.

The Socialist Democrats and RINOs now in power are only interested in solidifying their power base and their complete control over our existence. They will ignore or destroy the US Constitution to achieve their aims, if necessary.

We The People must do something now to effectively stop, or to at least slow the ongoing process unfolding before our eyes. To say that we will lose our country if we do nothing, is no longer frightened rhetoric in my opinion.

Short of armed insurrection, there's only one other effective way that I can think of to put the brakes on this madness, and that is a widespread tax revolt.

Why should the hard working, tax paying, law abiding members of this country pay the lawless usurpers in our government to enslave them, and their children? Answer: they shouldn't.

Our country's first form of protest against the suppression of Great Britain was a tax revolt. The Boston Tea Party was the ignition point that got the American people on their feet, and galvanized them to fight back against the real tyranny of the time.

It's my opinion that we need to repeat that very effective protest now. Here is my concept for striking an effective blow against the encroaching and real tyranny we face...

We need at least Ten Million Americans to commit to simultaneously stop paying all federal taxes. It has to be a number that large to ensure the safety of all who join the effort. The government is large, but they don't have the power or the resources to prosecute ten million tax resisters.

I would like to get a website up where people can read about the tax revolt and the reasoning behind it.

The site should have a place where each person who agrees to join the revolt can anonymously sign a pledge to stop paying federal taxes, once we reach the ten million mark.

A person would simply check a box (similar to an online poll), indicating their agreement to join the tax revolt.

The site should have a counter prominently displayed, keeping track of how many people have joined the tax revolt.

The site should have a forum to stimulate discussion about the tax revolt and the myriad reasons for it. This will also encourage a great many people to join the revolt, when they can read the thoughts of other patriots.

The site should also link to other like-minded patriotic websites and forums.

When the ten million mark is reached, the announcement to begin the tax revolt will be posted large on the front page of the site. On that day, ten million (or more) Americans will cease submitting to the extortion of their hard earned money by the Socialist usurpers in Washington.

There is strength in numbers. People will find the bravery to do this, if they see that millions of their fellow Americans are ready, willing, and committed to fight back.

I've been floating this idea on conservative discussion forums for many months now, and have gotten nothing but positive feedback about the idea.

Apparently, there are millions of Americans who want to do something effective to fight back, but don't have a ready answer as to what they can personally do. Many also have the spirit to fight, but don't see any organized resistance that they can join.

Someone's got to start the ball rolling. I think that this is an idea that will work. It could snowball into a full-scale tax revolt on the part of the American people, if it's simply launched.

As I said, short of armed insurrection, I can't think of anything more effective that the American people can do to get the government's attention, and which can put The People back in the driver's seat where they belong.

Naturally, there are a lot of things to think through before putting up such a website. I don't want to try to cover them all here, but I'm sure you've already thought of a few. They do need to be discussed and resolved.

Please let me know what you think of the basic concept, and what your thoughts are regarding the construction and maintenance of the website.

Your fellow patriot, Windflier

Folks, the necessity to do something real and effective to combat the fast approaching destruction of our economy and our very way of life is rising by the day.

Please consider assisting me with this effort.

How do you NOT pay taxes if you’re working for a corporation? The best we’ve done is take the MAXIMUM deductions - 10.

A little bit scary, but if there are millions of others I’m all in. It’s worth pursuing.

I am afraid our politicians are listening to the people, which include morons, idiots, and democrats; they are in the majority.

You don't. But...we can start by not filing a return on Apr 15th. If MILLIONS refuse to file and send any additional money to the thieves then we have their attention!

It would scare the living sh!t out of them!

That's better than nothing! If everyone pays nothing or as little as possible let them try to find the money to pay for 'their tax cuts for 95% of the people' (which is a damn lie)!

If we can get 10 million people by April 15, for the federal returns first year of zer0’s admin., we could at least, for the squeamish..withhold them for a time period.

Let them see how a total refusal would hurt them.

Or is that just chicken?

What we need is advice on the nuts and bolts of secure website construction at this point.

Thanks for your willingness.

Immediately, the Gubmint's "Conspiracy to defraud the United States" comes to mind here.

As the economy unravels with the further destruction that will be caused by the Socialists (that's their goal; which will leave THE PEOPLE totally dependent on "them"), more and more will have no income to tax....

When you send in your checks for payment on April 15, 2009, might I suggest wrapping them around some fecal matter, and sending to the IRS via Priority Mail?

You can also claim complete exemption on your W4. That's there for people who expect to have no tax liability at all.

To clarify about withholding allowances:

The maximum you can *legally* take is an amount equal to one per each personal exemption you're able to claim, plus one for every $3,500 you expect to claim in itemized deductions over your standard deduction amount.

That all said, there is no limit to the number you can claim on a W-4 (if you're willing to be illegal about it). However, be warned that if you claim more than 9, your employer is required to submit a copy of the W-4 to the IRS with their quarterly payroll tax return. If 9 or under, your employer merely keeps it in their files.

All you employees out there, proceed accordingly.

"Turtle Out".

Pull into your shell for 2 years - until the 2010 elections. If that election doesn't give us a Congress that believes in limited government and makes Obama irrelevant, then Turtle Out for two more years. If patriots regain control of our government and cut back to a sane level of spending, then I'll have a whole lot of money available to support the economy. Otherwise, I'm on strike as a consumer and as an investor.

I have closed all accounts with TARP businesses - permanently. I don't even take checks drawn on those banks. I have stopped making major purchases that will stimulate the economy, repairing my car without even considering buying new. If I eventually buy new, it won't be from GM or any other automaker that takes bailout funds. I have stopped supporting Hollywood, both their movies and their TV shows, going from one or two movies per year to none for the next four years. I have no cable. I do more with my kids than ever - active and outdoors instead of dollar-intensive.

This year's tax return will be a marvel of creative writing and paperwork justification, and it'll all be true. I have been donating to my local charity and keeping detailed records of what was donated. Perhaps they'll throw a few of those things out, but all clothing was in good enough condition for me to wear the week before, so I'm taking the value listed by a deduction finder software package. Believe me, it adds up. Books? I donated over $2,000 worth of books. All in all, I have over $10k in deductions, all legal, all truthful, and all cutting into the money that the Obama/Pelosi socialists have available to destroy our country. And the cash saved on taxes? It goes to the NRA and my church.

Starve the beast - Turtle Out!

Well...I said elsewhere EVERYONE should file for a “delay” for your taxes....it doesn’t cost anything....except...my brain seems to be reminding me now, that you’re supposed to pay an “estimated” amount.....hhmmmmm....any tax accountants here?

Be careful....there are some times when they look at those donations and your income, and consider you for audit, I believe....
