To: Venturer

There are hundreds of thousands of convicts across the nation who are TRULY not a threat to the health and safety of anyone, but by law must be separated from society. How about incarcerating THEM in abandoned MILITARY BASES. There are already built and standing facilities for everything from barracks, mess halls, admin building, and medical facilities just sitting idle. Would they not make very adequate MINIMUM SECURITY FACILITIES? The key is people who are truly NO THREAT to PUBLIC SAFETY. Any discussion?

I agree with you of course, but I would like to add that these people could be given jobs , or they could go out on work release and use the money they earn to pay for their room and board in prison.
