Yup, jobs lost, increased fuel costs. Couple this with the normal dhimmi dimbulb approach to “warming” and this promises to be interesting.
I really hope that the DC dhimmis are prepared for the upcoming tar and feather party.

More jobs lost. Right. And it's no coincidence that they're going to be lost in Utah.

Way to destabilize the economy, Obama. Interfering with contracts on this scale is sure to jumpstart the economy. But what about all those Union oilworkers?

In a clear signal that the Obama administration is shifting the governments approach to energy exploration on public lands... My mental picture is that of Obama furtively nodding to Chavez, Putin, and of course, his arab buddies.

Another campaign lie exposed, that Obama isn't against drilling. I guess his plan for energy independence and lower energy prices is “hope.”

Let me see...Gas was approaching $5.00 a gallon then President Bush removed the restrictions then gas went to $1.59.
I guess this action will keep that low rate locked in until..... 1:30 this afternoon if we're lucky.

Higher energy prices to follow. This guy is a fricking idiot. He may be the first president to get recalled.

I laugh when they say that Alaska won’t produce anything for 10 years...and then they reset the clock with cr** like this.

As California is crumbling under EPA weight and Illinois under leviathan Union weight - the clueless Obama folks forge ahead with energy prevention not wanting to p.o. the Greens aka EPA.
Push for Nuclear Power, it's clean and safe.

And what do your oil-industry-Freepers think about this particular land?
Was it promising?
Was it going to be profitable?

"...allow drilling on about 130,000 acres near pristine areas..."Near, not in, pristine areas. I'm looking for some GPS coords of the parcels to see where they actually are, but I'm betting that they are nowhere near any arches or other sensitive sites.

More jobs lost. Yep.
Don't forget their motto: "Don't let a good crisis go to waste."
He will destroy everything the left hates in the name of fighting the nasty republican Big Business interests that live just to rape Gaia, plunder the planet, steal from minorities, refuse health care to blacks, murder innocent muslims and wreck the economy.
I can already hear his campaign rhetoric in 2012 -
"Four more years for Obama so he can finish bringing Hope and Change."

Given that Utah is one of the most Republican states in the Union, its a small miracle the state itself wasn’t canceled.
