I understand your point. I won’t damn him for trying pot (plenty of good young folks have done that before), but I do wish he hadn’t put himself in a situation where it would hit the press and harm his reputation.
Tough thing about growing up today. There are fifty cameras in every room. When Phelps shows up, everybody’s clicking. I’ll bet forty kids took photos with their cell phones at that party.
I don’t “damn” him at all. But I am embarrassed by his actions. He is no longer worthy of being an American Olympian, IMO.
BTW, it appears that this wasn’t his first “tryout”, either. LOL
