Thanks for the responses.

Yep. Relax and enjoy the show

I am. I think it's great we will have documented screenshots here on FR for posterity.

It will be real interesting to hear(read) the explanation, later.

But, I just had to go with the counterpoint first. To be fair and all, ya know?

Well, smart posters (and lurkers) should mark this thread as a bookmark, as I see it growing into a viable list of ALTERNATE SEARCH ENGINES.

Which is a heck of a tool in the right(’s) hands.

Same here, all google searches are normal in both IE7 and Firefox. No sign of what others are seeing.

It was fixed about 10 minutes ago. It was broken for a little over half an hour.

Somebody at Google is catching royal hell, I'm sure of that.

I noticed the same thing earlier this morning. EVERY site came up with the "may harm your computer" warning.

It appears they have "fixed" the problem for now.

Anything. "foo" returns 31 million results, all marked unsafe.

Not happening here.

It was doing that for over half an hour, but it was fixed by the time you tried it. Gotta get FReeping early in the morning to catch us! ;-)

Sounds like malware on your computer. Go to Malwarebytes.

This is important : make sure once you click on the link that I posted that you see the URL is http://www.malwarebytes.org and not something else. Some malware hijacks you away from that address. Download the program, install it, click "update," and then run it. Should fix your system if there's a problem.

(*cough*)

Nope.

1. Read the thread.

2. I'm on a Mac, and it's known to be clean.

Thanks for sharing, though. ;-)

I didn’t see that but Friday night I did a search and it said something like “your search is similar to blah blah searches by spyware.....”.

And I had to type in some numbers and letters to prove I wasn’t a bot. Very bizarre.

Type in a number/letter verify code on Google to search ? That doesn’t even make any sense.

No it doesn’t.

I found the page in history

http://sorry.google.com/sorry/?continue=http://www.google.com/search%3Fhl%3Den%26q%3D%26btnG%3DGoogle%2BSearch%26aq%3Df%26oq%3D

Maybe I searched for something weird I don’t know. I just remember looking at the screen and there it was. And I couldn’t search for anything till I put the code in.
