January 28, 2009 - San Francisco, CA - PipeLineNews.org - St. Mary's College in Moraga CA received a black eye this evening as a large and angry crowd of protesters turned out to provide counterpoint to the Ayers' presence.
The event was organized by the Simple Justice not Social Justice Coalition' an ad hoc organization comprised of many partners, that came together in response to Ayers.
Since the public became aware of the controversial founder of the Weather Underground's scheduled speech, college officials have stubbornly maintained that he was nothing more than a respected professor of education and a proponent of "social justice."
Others, more familiar with Ayers' violent history disagree.

Have been wondering for past year, did Ayers ever go to prison? How did someone like that EVER get out in his lifetime??
He did not go to prison. The FBI and courts claimed Ayers did not serve time due to some technicality.

BTT. This contemptible piece of crap has major connections, dontcha know. They think they’ve won, but all it really means is that they’ve come out of hiding. And we’re still here.
(1)Someone asked about Ayre's sexuality. During the "training" phase of the Weatherman a directive came down to "smash monogamy" and members were strongly encouraged, even ordered, to engage in same sex experiences. I have no doubt Billy-boy was an active and willing participant, he is such a punk.
(2)Another issue raised was whether Ayres had ever been arrested. Yes he was and that gives rise to a funny story, funny in an ironic sense. At one point Ayres was arrested for assault and to get him out of jail his then girlfriend and fellow Weather member Diana Oughton had to cash one of her dividend checks to bail him out. I find that funny because these rich, spoiled, and indulged children claimed to be acting in the name of the poor.
Diana, btw, went on to be one of those who blasted herself all to hell while building bombs in a Greenwich Village townhouse. Adios, Diana. Bill, unfortunately, was not in the townhouse when it blew.
It was for questionable 'wiretaps'.
Same thing Blago is fighting against.
Same thing all the DEMS want to be made totally illegal.
Which is why they hated President Bush and his administration.

Great protest and action, thanks for being there! What a sniveling coward Ayers was to turn off the microphone and run away after a few safe questions from preselected students. The guy must have jello for a spine. Of course, being a sneaky little bomb planting terrorist, I guess that’s to be expected.
