DETROIT (WXYZ) - A sludge-hauling executive's account of greed and bribery has linked former Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick, his father, Bernard Kilpatrick, and City Council President Monica Conyers as the major figures in the Synagro scandal, according to a story on the Detroit Free Press web site.

BTTT
Just the beginning. We haven’t even gotten to the good part, where Kwame may have had someone offed. This guy is a real thug.
Oh, My Gawd! There’s gambling in Casablanca!
Who woudda taut?
I am here in the Peoples Socialist Republic of Michigan and I am aware of Tamara Green and the other Exotic dancer that died in GA.
There was a lady on Rush’s show this morning stating that and also that only 21% of students graduate high school.
Is now firmly entrenched in the federal government.
Detroit’s government has been corrupt for years. And yet, the people there keep voting the Democrats in, term after term.
I motion that we discover that the land where Detroit now sits was illegally acquired from the British Crown, and that we therefore intend to return it forthwith to either the control of that government, or to its successor in the region, Canada.
(And that we publish an announcement in the newspaper that we are no longer responsible for any debts incurred by that entity...)
New firms tied to FBI contract probe
This is an unholy mess.
"Detroit City Council President Monica Conyers also is under investigation in connection with the sludge contract, people familiar with the investigation said...Federal officials have electronic surveillance evidence that allegedly links Conyers to receiving a payment or payments in connection with the Synagro deal, people familiar with the investigation said...
Sam Riddle, a former aide to Conyers, has said his telephone was tapped by the FBI in connection with the investigation...
According to Rosendall's plea agreement, the aide to City Council Member A told Rosendall that only if Rosendall hired the aide as a consultant would the agreement be approved. (Riddle was the aide).
When Council Member A learned that an intermediary working with Rosendall had not made a payment or donation to benefit the council member, the council member said, "You don't have my vote and you're short," and cursed at Rosendall and the intermediary after a council meeting, the plea agreement said.
On March 28, 2007, the council member voted in favor of the Systematic Recycling deal. The intermediary advised Rosendall that he later paid the council member $5,000 to $8,000 in cash, the Rosendall plea agreement says."
yep...heard on Rush’s show yesterday that some 49% of detroit’s citizens are functionally illiterate now too.
Those dems policies sure do work.../sarcasm
Actually, a caller to the show cited the 49% figure. Rush checked it out during a break because the number was so high, he couldn’t believe it. He found out that the actual illiteracy rate in Detroit is 47% — still WAY too high!
He has 60,000 forclosed homes to look over that have become a problem...
I kid you not, google it.....
Must have missed that part while multi-tasking. Loved the woman caller, but her laugh started getting under my skin by the end of the call...lol
Mayor's adviser tied to key man in Synagro
Check out the info on Michael Tardif...
Obama’s Fault
Thanks for the link.
The Tardif angle’s really interesting, especially if the guy’s got any ties to Barry...
