“House just got hit by something large. Whole house shook still in basement”
It’s still icy in Oklahoma. I’m in Tulsa and it’s all over the place. But, it’s definitely not like the worst ice storm in state history, of December 2007. Nothing like that at all.
Right now there are a very few flakes of snow coming down. It started on Monday with freezing rain, then later on (many hours later) it turned into ice or snow pellets, and then a bit later, it was then a very light dusting of snow...
It hasn’t melted at all since beginning and everything is coated with ice. It will be here, probably until the end of the week, although it starts warming up very slightly tomorrow...
Thanks for that plot...I can read teh temps and the dew points and the wind speed and direction....I forgot what the colored dots mean.....IIRC, that’s a weatherman’s / pilot’s/ map of current conditions. Are those surface temps?
Fox 6 weather says a few snow flakes and cold rain in north Alabama, but no real problems. That front is moving NE and the worst of it should miss Alabama.
and the facism
Freepers with ya...it’s gonna be OK.
Right in the heart of it, here. Roads weren’t too bad on the commute home tonight, but the trees are heavy with ice. Every few, I hear another tree limb in the neighborhood come crashing down. So far, still have power. Praise God.
Got the oil lamps, fireplace, propane grill. We’ll be a-ok.
Of course, I’m a native New Englander, so this is a typical winter storm to me!
LOL Are you bored?
U ever wonder if 0 ever recalls what happened to Mussi when the Allies came in? Doubt it....it was the P’Od Italians that pulled a muzzie on him and his wife.
Indeed so!
In a forested area, it's like being in a war zone, sitting in the dark, listening to a constest barrage of "ka-pow!", wondering just how close that last "ka-pow" was, and it just keeps on going all night.
I feel fortunate today, for the storm barely brushed my area. We had tons of rain, but about 50 miles up the road, they are getting hammered by the ice...
Isn't D.C. supposed to be iced-in tomorrow?
If it is, how much do you want to bet he'll cancel out?
If he can be driven through the streets to Congress by a limo driver and police escort, how much do you want to bet he'll cancel out, anyhow.
In other words, even this con-artist cretin, Gore, doesn't want embarrassing photos and uncomfortable questions tomorrow on the Hill.

Did Rove forget to turn off his weather machine? Did he take it with him when he departed? Or perhaps a counterfeit weather machine was made by the Chinese and secretly sold to Obama.
We may never know the whole, true story.
Lord, protect Janetjanet998, her family and her house in the storm. Let the trees fall to the right and to the left, but not on her home. Amen.
Be careful with the gas and oil friend!

Springdale, AR (25 miles east of me) got hit hard, accdg to the news. They had two sets of freezing rain move through.
Temps have dropped from around 27 degrees most of the day to 18 now.
