GUANTANAMO BAY NAVAL BASE, Cuba – President Obama's request to suspend all war crimes trials at Guantanamo prompted a judge Wednesday to halt the case against a young Canadian in what may be the beginning of the end for the Bush administration's system of trying alleged terrorists.
The judge, Army Col. Patrick Parrish, issued a one-sentence written order for the 120-day continuance, and the lawyer for Toronto native Omar Khadr didn't object. But five men charged in the Sept. 11 attacks want their trial to continue, hoping for a death sentence that could bring them martyrdom.
"We should continue so we don't go backward, we go forward," Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, the alleged mastermind of the attacks told the judge in their case.

It's not that he stopped some punishment. He even stopped the TRIALS. He stopped any possibility of the proud “Ameircan-killers” to be punished for their crimes.
Two realities:
1: They are celebrating in Islamofacistland
2: It will get worse for us, much worse. (I don't mean it will get worse for us from the terrorists who have now been told they can Americans with immunity. It will get worse, much worse in what Obama, not the terrorists, but Obama himself, will do to us.)

Report? The reasons he is doing it are well known. They are public knowledge. For openers, it is a huge “IN YOUR FACE” to Bush, et al. As for our enemies, it is pandering, IMHO. Especially to Islamo-fascists. The list goes on....

That’s not the official Obama posture on this. What I am seeking is how Obama justifies this to the voting public. So far no news media, nor Obama, have even ventured a guess as to why this is good for the USA.
