Climate Change: Despite years of media bombardment about the imminent dangers of global warming, the alarmists are losing ground. Fewer Americans are buying into the myth.

According to a Rasmussen poll, 44% of U.S. voters blame long-term planetary trends for the (perceived) global warming; only 41% say human activity is responsible.

Those are far different numbers than Rasmussen recorded less than three years ago. In July 2006, Rasmussen found that a mere 35% believed the cause of warming to be part of a natural cycle, while 46% said humans were culpable.

It's also starkly different from a poll taken last April, when 47% said man was to blame and 34% said long-term global trends were the cause. Since that survey was taken, Rasmussen says, "the numbers have been moving in the direction of planetary trends."

These numbers support the findings of a 2008 survey that questioned 12,000 people across 11 countries. It found only 47% willing to change their lives to cut emissions of the greenhouse gas carbon dioxide. A year earlier, 58% said they would be inclined to change their lives to cut CO2 emissions.

The perfect scam, pay more in taxes to the gubbermint, so gubbermint scientists can fake the data, and pretend to control the weather. How cool is that?

I would imagine you could fool an Obama voter with just about anyone. Kenya thinks we are all going to work our jobs to provide for them. Boy are they in for a shock.

"The King has no clothes!"

And as in the kid's story, slowly, gradually, people are realizing that man-caused global warming has no basis in fact.

It would be far more satisfying for me if it were sudden and dramatic. If people pointed to the so-called scientists and media types that have attempted to foist this falsehood on us and laughed out loud. It is a shame to let these shysters slink off into oblivion. But, I'll take the gradual awakening, its is better than no awakening at all.

Here in Ohio a few days ago it was 20 below zero with snow out the wazoo. I said, “So much for global warming.” And someone corrected me and said that global warming made the EXTREMES worse.

Can someone please explain how we can predict which weather patterns are supposed to happen and which ones are made worse by global warming? I guess I'm just too dumb to figure it out.

This will soon be rectified. Obama has multiple millions in his stimulus package to “study” global warming. Any active scientist (of which I am one) can read that code. There are bushels upon bushels of money available to those who will publish papers reporting “scientific research” that confirms man-made global warming. We (collectively speaking) are not stupid. We will publish and publish in “scientific” support of AGW until the money runs out.

"The King has no clothes"

As a clever FReeper said on another thread: "The clothes have no King." That says it rather well.

Even the UN IPCC reports(the supposed “scientific consensus”) don't say that global warming will make things colder.

Check out the table on page 8 of the “Summary for Policy Makers” here:
http://ipcc-wg1.ucar.edu/wg1/Report/AR4WG1_Print_SPM.pdf

It says: “Warmer and fewer cold days and nights over most land areas” are “Virtually Certain”. It says nothing about having more colder days.

Print the table out, and shove it into the face of the next idiot that tries to deride your common sense.

Millions of Americans learned duirn this last Presidential election that the meida has their own agenda and saw repeated proof of the medias willingness to diorectly lie to the public in support of that agenda.
As the meida makes fools of themselves pimping for the Obama Administration during the next year or two even more Americans will become disgusted by the obvious bias of the media and more and more will lose confidence that they can trust anything the media says or does.
