CNN ^

(CNN) — Sarah Palin fired a new salvo in her war on the media, unloading in a new interview on her home state paper and “bored, anonymous, pathetic bloggers who lie.”

The Alaska governor, who has granted a steady stream of interviews since Election Day, also told an Esquire reporter that she wishes she had told McCain campaign advisors she’d be “callin’ some of the shots.”

Here we go again.. I am starting to get torn on the usefulness of the subject of these interviews Sarah is granting in the big scheme of things. I am all for standing up and slamming the media after how they have treated Sarah, her family, and conservatives in general, something BTW Bush NEVER did, but some of these interviews about the media and blogs are starting to wear a bit (even though the MSM runs with them with tongues wagging). I know she has to defend her family and these smears about her son are ridiculous. But, when is it time to ignore it and move on...

I guess my final assessment is defend your family to the end and screw your critics. Bush seemed to have this attitude yesterday and even though I disagree w/ much of what he's done, it was nice to see him with a bit of fire and defense of his positions to his critics.

The more anyone calls the media on their stuff the better. Go Sarah.

I’m torn as you are, but I feel like if she wants to have a political future other than just in Alaska, she needs to stop with the interviews about the media. All she’s doing is hurting herself as the very people she is unloading on today will remember this should she make another national run and then it will REALLY get ugly.

I was one of her most ardent supporters and felt she got a raw deal from the media but my gosh, it’s past time to put it to rest. The mainstream media has way more power to hurt her than she does to hurt them.

I agree. I think Republicans ought to be more bold -- during a campaign -- in taking on the media and calling them out on bias and bad questions. But after the campaign is over, to just attack, attack, attack simply isn't going to go over well. She starts to look whiney and like a sore loser.

No one likes that.

She needs an army of “surrogates” to do these attacks for her.

No, they haven’t “gotten to me”. I want her to defend herself, I am just tired of the constant red meat in these interviews being thrown to the media.

It’s like dam*ed if you do, dam*ed if you don’t.

I want her to be a viable national candidate, I am just starting to question if this is the way to go about it.

Like I said... “starting to get torn” on the strategy.

The MSM hated Reagan also; he went over their heads directly to the people. That might be the wisest course for Sarah to take - she CONNECTS to people naturally, difference being she doesn’t have Reagan’s bully pulpit. The ones who she can’t connect with would never vote for her anyway.

I agree. That was one of the highlights of the pubs convention and they had great momentum going against the media being in the sack for the demons. And that also was the pubs biggest mistake when they backed off them.

In all fairness some of these anonymous bloggers said some pretty nasty stuff and I think they should be called on it. I don’t blame her.....I’d be really pissed also.
Someone has got to call these creeps what they are....get the word out there that they’re full of $hit or it will just be accepted next time around. Look how many idiots believed the stuff that was started by “anonymous pathetic bloggers”. She’s right, this stuff passed for news.

I wouldn’t blame her if she just stayed in Alaska.

Yes, media corruption must be pounded on relentlessly.

Their credibility must be destroyed in the public’s eye, too many say they know of their practice of slander, but get sucked in anyway.

If rightwing media, our base, our thinktanks, our academics and filmakers join with Gov Palin and other candidates, we could do battle.

She’s been beating this dead horse since the campaign ended. We already know she hates the media and she feels they treated her unfairly. It makes it appear that she has nothing substantive to talk about, and it makes her appear a little petty.

Oh please......”get really ugly”???? Where have you been? It wasn’t “really ugly” right after she was announced as a VP candidate? Need we go through the countless slams, innuendos and smears hurled her way? These jackals don’t give a damn about propriety or fair play or truth. She’s doing what too many so-called conservatives rarely do: show she has balls and will respond to the crap that spews from the Left’s orifices. She’s not spineless or weak like so many “leaders” this party has.

So far, for the 2012 elections, Sarah is the only name on the ticket. She is a true conservative, unlike the wishy washy RINOs that are the (2)face of the party now.

She needs to ignore her detractors. They are encouraged to keep it up when she answers because they know they are getting under her skin. Ronald Reagan handled it this way.

My thinking as well.

The highly truthful meme of a biased LeftMedia needs to be perptuated into the mainstream of American thinking.

But Sarah Palin, as currently the clear conservative bellwether is not the onw who should be out front with this.

Unfortunately the rest of the Republican party, still has the hound dogs out looking for their long lost balls.

I’ve read the Pathetic posts above this one and all I see are what only can be called a bunch of folks who are afraid to for the truth to be told to the people. Sara Palin is going over the heads of the press and none of you fraidy cats realize it.
