Last November Barack Obama outlined his “back to the thirties” major infrastructure plan. He talked about a two year program of rebuilding “crumbling roads and bridges, modernizing schools building wind farms and so on. You get the picture.
That sounds nice but what’s Obama really going to accomplish?
This ridiculous boondoggle will cost ONE TRILLION DOLLARS!
We’ve already spent half of the seven hundred billion dollars of the so-called bailout fund, and have virtually NOTHING to show for it. We don’t even know where the money has gone!
What could possibly make Obama think plunging America deeper into debt by building roads nobody has the inclination or money to use will help us?
What makes Obama think displaced financial sector workers, former circus clowns and retail clerks will be able to merely show up at a job site with a hard hat and lunch box to start building Obama’s Autobahn?
The money Obama will be dangling in front of construction companies will be magnetic.
Think of some of the unsavory character in the construction industry eyeing our money.If Obama thinks those guy will check workers citizenship, he’s a fool.
Since every job will be a federal project, every illegal alien worker will be a walking felony mocking our laws.
When these projects get going they will pull every able body in the world over our borders. Soon construction companies will only hire illegal workers so they can pay less, and save FICA taxes they would have to pay for legal American workers.
Eventually Obama will be paying illegal aliens to come here, grab every benefit they can and leaving America sucked dry.
At a time when illegals are beginning to go home in significant numbers, a federal magnet project like this will actually draw fleeing illegal workers back.....

I think Obama’s make work program will be all union jobs. It’s all skilled labor and heavy machinery.
The stoop work illegals like the shovel ready make work, because like most Kenyans, that is all they are capable of.
Ever wonder why Mexico or Kenya didn’t build a space shuttle of their own?

If you look at the numbers of jobs that all of these supposed “stimulus” packages are supposed to create, we would have to double the population of the United States in order to have a labor pool big enough to fill all of those jobs; IF the numbers were anywhere near real in the first place, which they are not.
So who is going to do all of this “Infrastructure” construction work?? Does anyone really believe that former Mortgage Brokers, Bankers, and Reporters are all going to decide to join the local Union and go vibrate concrete for a career now??
Oh yeah...none of those jobs are going to last long enough to provide a career for anyone, and the direct Government sponsored Union favoritism will probably kill off what’s left of the private construction business anyway.
Once his programs are passed through environmental lobbyists and local zoning laws and what else we can think of, the sheer numbers of people he MIHT need for a large project aren’t going to come from displaced Americans, I surely doubt
He will encourage illegal aliens to work on manual labor jobs, claiming that Americans wont do such work
even those who are unemployed

But don’t you know! That’s the whole idea. He won’t be re-elected by genuine citizens the next time around because his real policies will be apparent, like uncontrolled immigration from third-world nations.
They already are. It's amazing that so many are willing to accept millions of invaders into their home country.

Yes and States like MD and Cities like Baltimore passed living wage acts that do not allow the government to lower costs by subcontracting out work. They require union wages paid by all subcontractors, so the 1T is for union wages to illegals, much better than the housing boom.
I believe that even the WPA was limited to CITIZENS, not aliens, legal or illegal.
I wonder what impact, if any, all these “remittances” from illegals to foreign countries has on our economy. And how would any “stimulus” stimulate America’s economy if much of the money is not spend in the US? It just sounds like buying votes to me.
Too bad the liberal language masters haven’t deemed KEEPING the income I earn an “entitlement.”
Obama’s economic revitalization or whatever he calls it all involves infrastructure work. He has said that it includes roads, bridges, schools, etc. Companies that build these have union employee. The union employees consist of heavy equipment operators, electricians, plumbers, welders, etc. These are union jobs. They do utilize unskilled laborers but they are the minority. Plus Obama has to repay his union cronies since they got him elected. I have not heard of any of Obama’s ideas that include non-skilled labor.
I just think this is the BIGDIG(14 billion) multiplied by

I will make some people rich and become a tremendous source of govt. waste and potential coruption.
The BIG DIG in Boston started at $2.5 Billion and is now at $14+ billion and still growing.
The implication that illegal aliens will get bailout money is misinformed and outdated. After January 20, there will not be any illegal aliens. Problem solved!
All of the “infrastructure” money will ne spent on environmental studies and law suits before one wheel barrow is filled.
