Today the President held his last formal news conference at the White House in Washington DC.

Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice released the President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief 2009 Annual Report to Congress.

I understood what you meant. I almost said the same thing. It wasn't from a negative place, rather we wish he would have stuck up for himself. That said, he couldn't until now. With the MSM the way it is, they would have always screamed "sour grapes" and where would he be after that? No, this was the only time he could say these things with honor. So sad, but that's the way it is...and this President is man enough,humble enough and classy enough, to understand that.

I am SOOOOO going to miss him and his administration--people who truly love this Country and tried their hardest to keep it safe.

He will do so much better once he's home and in his own surroundings. He will look around and remember how he could get along by himself and try to do more and more so he can.

Pretty upset around here. I was more upset when my Vikes bit the dust and then a friend of ours that lives in Philly e-mailed me and said, "Sorry for your loss, but we're so happy we won!" What kind of crap is that? I didn't write back. I couldn't - I would have said something I shouldn't. Hubby was okay about three hours after the Charger game. I surely know how he feels. It's not fun any way you carve it.

Heard part of his speech and have it TiVo’d. It was very nostalgic, and I really wanted to cry. He really let the MSM have it at times over their false coverage of what was going on.

I will listen to the rest of it when I can concentrate. I sure
am going to miss him!...we all will!

Some “friend!” I hated to see them lose, but what are we going to do?

President’s press conf this morning was fabulous. I was late to work as I couldn’t tear myself away. He is going to be missed. And Cheney....I have such confidence in him, and it will not be easy losing him, in my heart and mind.

My, my! Helen Thomas outlasted him. :-(

I am so going to miss them all, even Barney & Miz Beasley.
