I’m not even plannng on turning on the TV that day. Pandora is what I have planned and perhaps trying to tackle some new software I have. This will be the first ione I’ve missed since being born. My first I don’t remember since I was just short of 4 months old when JFK was sworn in.

I was thinking of going on retreat at a monastery during that time, but I left it until too late and I couldn’t find one. I keep hoping this horrifying event won’t happen but I know it will.

So I plan to spend the entire day either working (I’m self employed) and not looking at any propaganda source, or if I don’t have a job that day, I plan to go and muck out the stall and paddock where my horse lives. Even that is preferable to seeing a third-world Marxist Muslim foreigner take over the government of the US.

I am simply grateful to have moved away from that part of the country 20 some years ago. I can’t imagine what it must be like there right about now for this “historic” event. Every bridge in from Virginia will be closed to regular traffic. It must resemble some ghastly militaristic movie version of a police state. And, no I don’t plan to watch. If the weather becomes a major factor in the whole thing, though, that may cause me to switch it on just for that spectacle. Freezing huddled fools out in a dead of winter blizzard to worship their leader might be very entertaining.

Accu Weather has the possibility of a little snow in the morning of 1-20-09 with a high of ~40. There is a big cold front heading that way so who knows. I just hope Algore shows up so it will be freezing.

Hey, let's just furgetaboutit. Many of us have lived through the LBJ years, the 4 years of Jimmuh Carter, and the eight years of Bubba Clinton. This too shall pass, and the country will survive even Obama. So, plan a fun day of family activities for inauguration day, and don't get depressed

BTW, do any of you sweetnesses know that occasionally the FBI does read here, and we've actually had a big-mouth blowhard Freeper get a home visit in 1998 from the Secret Service because he posted a stupid, rash, empty comment that suggested violence toward President Clinton. Everyone that knew the Freeper involved knew that the blowhard was the original Cowardly Lion, but the SS didn't know that. In fact, the Cowardly Lion realized he'd gone too far, and asked for the post to be removed, and it was within 5 minutes, but the SS showed up anyway. He groveled and was forgiven, no charges, but it was something to remember.
