Most folks don’t realize how much the “peace and social justice” crowd has taken over Catholic colleges. It was already starting over 40 years ago when I attended Boston College. And FReepers wonder why 54% of Catholic voters went for Obama...
I was on my parishes social justice committee for three weeks, quit in disgust.
My Uncle, a World War ll Marine, flew his flag at half staff from Nov. 5 to Dec. 5 and he is also going to fly it at half staff on Jan. 20.
He will no doubt be offering a tribute to Timothy McVeigh and Sirhan Sirhan.
The Vatican has had a “Pontifical Council for Justice and Peace” for decades, so that junk is no longer fringe, unfortunately.
Not sure if you noted any of the other speakers on this “alternative” roster, but they are all total lefties.
Can you imagine what would happen if Ann Coulter was scheduled to speak or David Horowitz?

Catholic social teaching really starte with Pope Leo, it was a response to Marxism, to which it was totally opposed.
The liberals in the church have pushed that envelope to the point where we find ourselves with a boutique Catholic College hosting a terrorist for what...balance?

As far as I know it, there is no law against flying the flag at half-staff on private property. I am seriously considering doing this not only on Jan. 20 but for the full 4 years. Might get myself in the news over this but I feel that strong about what is happening to this country.
Who's protecting the Ayers? Wealthy, influential Daddy Ayers is not doing it now. Who?
Academe employees? MSM employees?
Now the Great Leader will stop any and all federal inquires into murders strongly suspected to have been committed by Weather Underground; namely, Mr. and Mrs. Ayers.

It might not be a bad idea to get a “Flag at half staff” movement going. We certainly respect and revere the flag so much more than they do. Their side probably wouldn’t notice or care.
Since it's in the Bay area, he's in the right neighborhood.
