Should we run Alan Keyes against him? (only half joking, I like Dr. Keyes and would love to see him making speeches in the well of the senate).

Bend over Harry, here it comes.

If the freak show of this slimy little crook posturing as some sort of moral paragon wasn't so comic, his claims to powers he doesn't rightly possess would stand as the warning they constitute.

This will work out as Burris will be fairly easy for a Republican to beat in the next election.

That is actually the MAIN reason the Dems didn't want him to get it. He is a serial loser in Illinois.

Exactly.

I guess Cornyn wanting to hear the tape of Reid's conversation with Blago on the subject would have proved embarrassing for dingy Harry. Feinstein helped him crawl out from under. And it will be a non-story in our establishement media, of course. Ho-hum: just another 12-hour reversal by the Dems of a "principled stand."

“So Blago will know what’s on some of the tapes ... but those with whom he spoke on those tapes won’t know because they’re not entitled to copies. Let’s see how Blago uses that information.”

I didn’t know that. Do you know why the other parties on these tapes aren’t entitled to copies? Also, one would think that Blago is still being watched and listened to so he’ll have to be even sneakier in trying to use that information.

The Fox News rendition of “Wallace blocking the steps” was so dramatic and over the top.... and great entertainment!

Reid is screwed either way. It’s turned into a clown circus now.

When have Ried and Pelosi NOT folded when under public pressure? These two are the pathetic embodiment of the Democratic Party. Paper tigers.

I, by the way, believe Burris should be seated. Blago is still governor (notwithstanding his indictment - he's Innocent until proven guilty) and he has the obligation to appoint a person to fill the senate seat. Having said that, I don't support Democrats. Ever!

Obama refuses to take stand on seating Burris

WASHINGTON (AP) — President-elect Barack Obama has declined to support giving his vacated Senate seat to former Illinois Attorney General Roland Burris.

Obama told a news conference on Wednesday that the decision on whether to allow Burris to join the Senate is one for the Senate to make.

It’s my understanding that there was a deal being cut that he had to promise not to run in 2010 - too easy to beat.

Think I heard that on WTOP this morning.

Thanks, you answered my question before I even had to ask it. I didn’t think Dingy Reid and his cohorts really had any authority to deny him the seat. But I wasn’t sure.

After looking like a complete idiot and a racist, someone FINALLY got it through to him that he was totally in the WRONG about this.

No, here is my idea..Burris goes in the Office of Reid * that pissant* and tells him, with a smile on his benign looking face...” Here’s the deal Reid, either you seat me as the junior senator from IL or I sing like a canary about the connections The Dear Leader has to the Chicago thugs, ACORN and more and you will not see his Royal Highness inaugurated..ball in your court..” Demd like blackmail, you know..oops was that a play on words? well you get the jist.
