Just two weeks before he is set to take office, Barack Hussein Obama Jr., the president-elect, has suffered yet another embarrassing blow, as his nomineee for Commerce Secretary has “withdrawn” his name from consideration due to an ongoing federal grand jury probe of his alleged corruption. New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson, a Democrat, today withdrew as Commerce Secretary designate, according to the BBC.com. Richardson’s decision was linked to a pending investigation into a company which has done business with his state.
In a joint statement, Obama said he had accepted Mr Richardson’s decision to withdraw “with deep regret”.
Richardson denied any wrongdoing but said that the inquiry could take months, as a federal grand jury in Albuquerque is investigating how a California company that contributed to Richardson’s political activities won a New Mexico state contract.
This is the second scandal to besoil the forthcoming Obama administration in the last month. Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich is being charged in a related probe of play to pay politics for allegedly trying to sell Obama’s vacant senate seat to the highest bidder.
Richardson has many enemies in Washington, including Sen. Robert Byrd (D-W. Va.), who had pledged to oppose him for any future cabinet position nomination when he was with the Clinton Administration.

Pardon me for being irreverent, but will someone here tell me how this differs from Michelle Obama being promoted from a $100 K/yr. job at UC Hospitals to a $300+ K job at th same employer just after the Magic Negro (hereafter "MN") was elected to the Senate and MN, in 2005, getting a $1,000,000 earmark for the UC Hospitals.

A political party supports killing babies. Every single candidate, and every appointee, is required to support killing babies.
How is it POSSIBLE that the people in this political party, all of whom support killing babies, turn out to be CORRUPT???

Richardson is an hispanic male is Michelle is a black female. Beyond that and any attempt at comparing the Richarson corruption to the M. Obama success story is purely racist.
I really don’t know how to feel about this. Of course my well documented hatred toward this P.O.S. makes him comming under investigation a source of near giddiness for me. On the other hand, his withdraw means he will stay here in New Mexico which ridding our state of this misfit was the ONLY positive point of 0bama winning the election.
