Thanks for all the information posted on this thread. I appreciate your efforts to get your points across, but; I suspect that several did not bother to read the article.

The answer to the query I posed in post #29 was stated in the article towards the end. Why does America Tolerates Preaching Overthrow Of Government; We Didn't Before?

The reason we tolerate people who seek to destroy us is quite simple.
We as a group no longer care for the country our forefathers gave to us. Because, Ignorance, apathy and incrementalism are the greatest threat to societies. Like a cancer, ignorance of the problem, delay in seeking treatment and incremental growth will doom the host.

I really do miss Joe Mcarthy!

GRRR....I'm more tired than I thought. I completely missed your point, sorry.

The government we have now it not the government our founders gave us, for that reason, our politicians, or should I say rulers need to be ousted in the worst way. When the electorate is as dumbed down as it is, how do we change it before it is to late, using the voting process? I'll stop there lest I get into any trouble.

I suspect that we didn't tolerate it in the past because the very people who were protesting wanted the government we have now. Back then it was unacceptable to most, now it seems acceptable for too many.

IMO, about all we can hope for is that this administration and this Congress so totally fail to deliver and so totally out themselves as tyrants and bigots and thugs, that they lose the support of the middle-of-the-roaders and alienate portions of all the protected classes that support them.

However, I do think it will have to be a third party, probably one that tends towards the libertarian portion of the political spectrum. I do think that Republican is a failed brand and will not hold power again for decades. The only caveat I can think of is that because the media has come to be such a joke, no one will listen to them about anything. This _could_ help the GOP. A slim chance, I think.

I do not think it will happen before 2012.

Hard to say, especially in this gimme generation

I'm kind of thinking it is going to take some major event for people to wake up. Or maybe it'll be something that no one could possibley see coming, it'll just happen.

Whatever happens, hang on tight!
