I hope there is. Many times extreme/unusual stories are embraced by activists to get their agendas pushed through. Race is a favorite to hide behind.
I agree that would set a dangerous precedent. But, according to our local paper, the children weren’t removed due to their names:

A reason hasn’t been given, but it’s a family court case, so it’s closed.
OK, I see you quoted in a post above from the same article. I doubt the state could use the children’s names as a valid reason to take these parents to court, but the parents probably received some attention from “authorities” thanks to the publicity they sought.
I guess we’ll find out more soon enough. These parents love attention, so maybe they’ll go to the press again.

My previous reply was my initial reaction. However, after reading an ABC News story, I found this. I’ll reserve my opinion until more is known:
Police, DYFS officials and a court spokeswoman declined to reveal the exact reasons the children were removed from their home, citing confidentiality, but a child protection official indicated it was not because of the children’s names.
