Typing Without a Clue (NYT's Extremely Elitist Review of Joe The Plumber's Book)

The unlicensed pipe fitter known as Joe the Plumber is out with a book this month, just as the last seconds on his 15 minutes are slipping away. I have a question for Joe: Do you want me to fix your leaky toilet?
I didnt think so. And I dont want you writing books. Not when too many good novelists remain unpublished. Not when too many extraordinary histories remain unread. Not when too many riveting memoirs are kicked back at authors after 10 years of toil. Not when voices in Iran, North Korea or China struggle to get past a censors gate.

I hope the book flies off the shelves, I hope he makes MILLIONS!
I'm going to buy the book just to flip off the elite MSM.
I won't be buying any books from NYT columnists. The way things are going for NY Slimes, Mr. Timothy Egan may end up working as a plumber's apprentice.

Honestly, I have a hard time believing that book will be worth reading. Yes, Joe the Plumber challenged Obama on a key point, but it was mostly a matter of chance that he was thrust into the national spotlight.
Palin's book, on the other hand, will be very important if she chooses to run in 2012.

Everyone remembers Timothy Egan’s best selling novel, “The Winemaker’s Daughter”.
No?
After JtP’s book outsells Egan, look for Egan’s next book, “Life is not fair”.

Well, what about the NYT "reporters" and "editors" writing articles? While too many... you know.
Too bad Obama's "riveting" "novels" are remaining published; so many trees...

"What he is truly pissed about is that Joe could get a book published, but there is every likelihood the NYT snot couldnt fix the toilet. Besides, who ever heard of this schmuck? At least Joe had 15 minutes of fame. He is 15 minutes ahead of a catty NYT columnist."You nailed it. The only reason that we even know this limp wristed, elitest's name is because Maureen Dowd is off today.
BTW I worked as a carpenter for 20 yrs. Joe the Plumber did more work last week than this a$$ has done in his entire career.

The babbling NY Times writer probably has his own worthless unpublished novels, and then he’s thinking of all his useless down-and-out writer friends.... of course this rant in the NY Times doesn’t mention all the Democrap books churned out by non-writers. Maybe this NY Times clown should buy a copy of Hillary’s “It Takes a Village” for comfort.

Hey, Timmy; better get those resumes out! There's a bear market for shit-poor writer hacks like you these days. Better start practicing saying, "Do you want fries with that?"
To: GOP_Lady
To this, uh, writer, publishing rights are yet another entitlement to be politically doled out by elite liberals to other elite liberals...strictly to further the liberal/socialist agenda.

btw, maybe the NY Times should promote this (below) pretentious memoir from a couple of years ago....... it’s by a “serious” New Yorker writer who had a famous little run-in with Oprah a few years ago. Not even MICHIKO KAKUTANI of the very august New York Times could stand this dreck from such a “serious” writer .... Joe the Plumber can’t compete:
[Kakutani’s review, from 2006]: “In his new memoir, The Discomfort Zone, Mr. Franzen turns his unforgiving eye on himself and succeeds in giving us an odious self-portrait of the artist as a young jackass: petulant, pompous, obsessive, selfish and overwhelmingly self-absorbed.”

With a résumé full of failure, he now thinks he can join the profession of Mark Twain, George Orwell and Joan Didion. Uh, Tim....you're not in the same league with Twain, and you for damned sure aren't Orwell either.

My father was a writer...he wrote many books like this with famous people. They told him the story, and they wrote it.
But besides that, like it's uncommon for someone to cash in on their 15 minutes of fame. It's the American way!

With a résumé full of failure, he now thinks he can join the profession of Mark Twain, George Orwell and Joan Didion. As Glenn Beck asked this morning: "Who the heck is Joan Didion???"
I confess to having read a few thousand books in my time, and millions and millions of words. I've read 97% of Samuel Clemens' works, because he amuses me, and he is a wordsmith with few peers.
But I've never heard of, nor read the name "Joan Didion".
BTW, Egan - I actually got a free ride in college because of my literary talents. I doubt you could say the same, and you're elite-snotting "Joan Didion" on us "benighted peasants".
P*ss off, you Obama *ss-polisher.
