Moslem dominance in displays might irk me, but it would never compare to the well-founded fear that my head is on the line. Display irritation is baby stuff.

Tim McVeigh did not do anything in the name of religion (Christianity or any other). There is a huge difference between him and the thousands who have done things because Islam demands it and they are good followers.

Good Morning all,

There is a problem with the idea that the constitution does not always extend to state or local government. I do not believe that it can be honestly argued that the First Amendment does not apply to a state, but the Second Amendment does. It cannot be had both ways. The Constitution must be interpreted and applied consistently.

The First Amendment begins “Congress shall pass no law . . .” and the Second does not mention congress, that is irrelevant. It cannot be allowed for Utah to declare Mormanism the state religion or for Dearborn, Michigan to declare Islam as the official local religion.

I think it has semething to do with “equal protection.”

Amen! Whenever I hear people refer to us as a “Christian Nation” (rather than a secular nation with a declining Christian majority), I always ask them what they think of the fact that a NON-CHRISTIAN wrote our Declaration of Independence!

Well I for one always say the evidence is quite overwhelming.

Let me re-word this: I can envision future McVeigh-style attack on Mosques by pissed off Christians. I mean at some point, some Christian fringe groups may stop taking the “high, ethical road” that they’ve done so far.

Understood. My apologies for reading something that wasn't there.

Liberals, of course, try to impugn Christians by sticking us with McVeigh.

Homosexuality is a moral perversion. And gays know it and embrace that perversion. Their anger knows no bounds.

How can it be irrelevent? These men were careless in their writing?

It says “Congress” specifically in the 1A indeed, and that means something.

Otherwise all the laws about porn and even election signs and so on in localities would be struck down as unconstitutional.

Of course, how we got into abridging the 2A in every state I don’t know. Just simply ignoring the written word, I suppose.
