The Republican National Committee will report Thursday that it spent about another $30,000 on clothes and accessories for Sarah Palin during her vice presidential bid, a GOP source tells Politico.
Palin took a major public relations hit when Politico revealed that the RNC in September shelled out $150,000 for clothes and accessories from high-end retailers for the Alaska governor, who built her political persona around a folksy, regular-gal demeanor.
The additional spending will be detailed on the committee's post-general election report, which is due to be filed with the Federal Election Commission before midnight.

Is politico implying that there is something wrong or scandalous about Governor Palin and her family wearing nice clothes during the Presidential campaign? The masses will never get to see or hear about the millions spent on personal perks for the Obama campaign since Obama lied about his promise to go with a public campaign. Foreign muslim donors to the Obama campaign certainly got the best bang for their bucks and Obama got the best press that money can buy. McCain-Feingold was at best a sick joke and at it’s worst, an attack on the US Constitution. Print that politico.
Those pantsuits cost $6K each ? OMG !! At best, if they were custom made for her (since they all looked absolutely alike except fabric) I’d have guess $1K. And that’s being very generous.
Who cares? She’s a Real Conservative and she’s HOT! She is the hope of Conservatives to take back America. If every Conservative in America sent her a dollar, she would have enough for the bestest wardrobe ever, plus enough to beat Obama in 2012 (assuming he’s in office and runs).
Let’s all remind the MSM every time they bring this up about the $640,000 0bama spent for staging and lighting in one day for his Germany speech.
The Lefties would whine if Palin didn’t wear rags. However, they wouldn’t care if the 0bamas spent much more than $150,000 on their clothes which they probably did.

I loved it when she referred to her $35 wedding ring that she bought in Hawaii. You could hear a pin drop from the MSM.
A high-profile auction should be held & the clothes sold to the highest bidder. Millions of dollars could be raised — especially if Sarah Palin herself hosts the auction.
These libs have NO life. I mean it’s a month after the election, they got what they wanted, they got their messiah, and you all know what, they are NOT happy, you all notice watching the liberal news how they don’t look happy at all. If McCain had won I would be skipping day and night but not them. Geez I wonder why, perhaps they know their prophet is a false one. I have never in my life seen such hatred and FEAR that they have against Sarah. I have seen this all before, Ronald Reagan, the media hated him, called him every name in the book, they thought they could break him and they didn’t. What is most shocking is this is the RNC doing this, the RNC is ripping her, they are the ones that bought her the stuff and they are the ones ripping her for it. What is it with these Politico reporters? Are they all cross-dressing queens? They sure do seem inordinately interested in Sarah Palin’s wardrobe.
Moreso than even Madonna’s, Judy Garland’s, and Liza Minnelli’s.

I always find the Palin wardrobe stories very funny.
She really IS a Washington outsider. Unlike most politicians, who supposedly make a fixed wage, she has not yet managed to enrich herself with public monies, favors, jobs, etc. and make herself a millionare. So, every logistical piece of being on the campaign trail is a real expense to her: eating out, buying new clothes constantly (to not be seen in the same outfit too many times), outfitting the kids that were with her, hotel rooms, toothpaste, the list is endless. The mere fact that she has not sucked on the government teet long enough makes this story possible. The campaign paid for the logistics, including getting her some new threads...so what.
Then, add in the fact that other candidate’s clothes are not mentioned. I don’t care who paid for them; but, Obama is wearing $5,000 suits. The MSM swoons over Michelle’s ‘look’ (in designer dresses). Hillary’s pant-suits are donated (for the free publicity). How on earth her outfits are worth $6,000 each is beyond me; but, that’s the reported value.
So, I find these stories dishonest left, right, and sideways....and I’m not even completely on the Palin wagon.
