Give me a break!!!!! More than a couple folks have been killed with a bold action rifle. That 303 British bolt gun could have saved a lot of lives if the guy behind it had the balls to use it!!!!! You do not have to have a weapon firing full auto to be an effective fighter. You use what you have to neutralize the threat. Most snipers use bolt guns and they are very effective.
The next step to this argument after you make the AK so important is to assign the weapon itself the ability to kill without a human behind it pulling the trigger.

In fairness if you read the article you can see that the policemen have not received any training in using the weapons due to corruption and and lack of money.

Certainly the Lee Enfield is a fine rifle and in the hands of trained men they could have been effective but if the man carrying the rifle hasn’t even been told how to shoot it or doesn’t have any bullets then it’s unfair to expect him to take on a trained gunman (and the terrorists do seem to have received more weapons training than the police) who has a more modern rifle.

These Indian Army troops were not very well trained.
When getting a days worth of dynamite one morning all
of them were sleeping.

A person could walk in and take their weapons.

...killed with a bold action rifle...

There's a typo for the ages.
