One of the primary purposes of the PBY was search and rescue of downed pilots and crew. Their crews were noted for risking all to make those recoveries. It seems appropriate that he has been found and returned at last. I’m sure he wouldn’t have given up.

Post or FReepmail me if you wish to be enlisted in or discharged from the Navair Pinglist.
The only requirement for inclusion in the Navair Pinglist is an interest in Naval Aviation.
This is a medium to low volume pinglist.

“Taps”
Composed By Major General Daniel Butterfield
Army of the Potomac, Civil War
http://www.arlingtoncemetery.net/taps.htm
“Fading light dims the sight,
And a star gems the sky, gleaming bright.
From afar drawing nigh — Falls the night.
“Day is done, gone the sun,
From the lake, from the hills, from the sky.
All is well, safely rest, God is nigh.
“Then good night, peaceful night,
Till the light of the dawn shineth bright,
God is near, do not fear — Friend, good night.”
