The question of Barack Obama’s citizenship, and his eligibility to hold the office of President of the United States, has become the election-year issue that will not die. Quite a few Obama opponents are holding on to the eligibility issue as the last chance to keep him out of the White House. They have placed their faith in lawsuits challenging Obama’s eligibility, and particularly the Berg lawsuit; but it will turn out that such faith is misplaced.

Its not going to go anywhere. Obama may be a naturalized citizen but it wouldn't matter. A Democratic Congress is not going to overturn an election result to abide by the Constitution. And the U.S Supreme Court has no desire to risk another political firestorm by overturning an election on constitutional grounds.

This article is crap. This author thinks that conservatives are depending and hoping for a Clinton-esque parsing of the Constitution to keep Obama out of the White House.

He thinks that we are misguided and that the parsing of words like “eligible” is grabbing at straws.

Sorry. But for me, there should be no parsing necessary for a phrase like that or many others.

THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN DECIDED LONG AGO BEFORE HE WAS ALLOWED TO EVEN DECLARE AS A CANDIDATE.

It is only a crisis NOW because it was not done so THEN. THIS is going to open up a can of worms for us as a country, because WE did not insist the Constitution be followed. That requirement was put there for a reason.

This is s waste of bandwidth article. This article ends by supporting his article by pointing to Obama’s birth certificate in HI - which no one has seen & may not exist. Maybe just a COLB about his borth in Kenya.

Also he uses birth announcements in HI papers that prove nothing. A child born in Kenya would get a COLB and a could have a birth announcement.

The fact that all of his records are sealed for his whole life, he provides a forged COLB and Sel Svc doc makes me think something is “rotten in Denmark.”

Congress stopped living by the Constitution a long time ago. Where do you get the idea if will be faithful to it now? Obama's inauguration is a done deal and it doesn't matter if he's not a natural-born citizen. To even raise the issue is racist and to the courts the issue is non-justiciable.

Interesting take. But just one man’s opinion. And he’s a Democrat.

Also, extremely naive or disingenuous on the subject of Obama’s COLB, which is a patent forgery. And the newspaper announcement means nothing. Newspapers generally print what the parents tell them and don’t fact-check every birth announcement.

Also, Stanley Ann Dunham got a COLB for Obama’s half-sister, even though she was admittedly born in Indonesia.

Obama can’t be a naturalized citizen, because he has never gone through the naturalization process. He’s either a (natural born) citizen or he’s not a citizen at all.

My take is that mistakes are made and the courts haven’t hesitated to correct them later, and it didn’t matter if half the population was pissed off. This should be no different. If a mistake was made, and someone missed it because Obama did not follow proper procedures, then screw him, screw the Democrat party, and screw the Obammunists. Let the law prevail.

In general, the Federal courts do not decide “political questions,” and the issue of eligibility to be President seems to be a political question.

Since the Constitution lays out qualifications for office how can the question of eligibility be a political question?

Since there are no qualifications for running for office, only taking the office, could it be that Obama is playing Constitutional Chicken?

It looks like he can't be disqualified until he is president-elect and he is hoping like hell that at that point no one will challenge him.

But I DO think this requirement is IMPORTANT, and I think our country has DELIBERATELY shot itself in the foot on this.

I respectfully request that you consider reviewing Docket No. 08A407 Leo C. Donofrio, Applicant v. Nina Mitchell Wells, New Jersey Secretary of State.

Our Constitution in Article II Section 1 Paragraph 5 states “No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President”.

Mr. Donofrio represents a considerable number of citizens noting the conspicuous failure of the presidential-designate to produce sufficient proof of compliance with the above constitutional requirement.

The work of Mr. Ron Polarik has shown all Certificates of Live Birth to date to have been forgeries.

Thank you for your consideration of this extremely critical matter.

Stop the Obama Constitutional Crisis

When you were first elected and as tradition requires you have sworn the oath: “I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter: So help me G-d.”

Article II, Section 1 of the U.S. Constitution reads: “No Person except a natural born citizen, or a citizen of the United States at the time of the adoption of this constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any person be eligible to that office who shall not have attained to the age of thirty five years, and been fourteen years a resident within the United States.”

There are numerous questions as to Obama’s citizen status raising suspicion and doubt about Obama constitutional qualification to be president. To settle these questions Mr. Obama must produce proof of citizenship!

Documents that must be produced include;
(a) a certified copy of “vault” (original long version) birth certificate;
(b) certified copies of all reissued and sealed birth certificates in the names Barack Hussein Obama, Barry Soetoro, Barry Obama, Barack Dunham and Barry Dunham;
(c) a certified copy Certification of Citizenship;
(d) a certified copy Oath of Allegiance taken upon age of maturity;
(e) certified copies of admission forms for Occidental College, Columbia University and Harvard Law School; and
(f) certified copies of any court orders or legal documents changing his name from Barry Soetoro.

It is reasonable that these documents should be produced considering that his father is Kenyan, his adoptive father is Indonesian, and his grandmother claims to have been present at his birth in Kenya. If he is a natural born citizen then producing these documents should not be any problem.

These allegations will not go away until Mr. Obama produces proof to federal authorities and the public. If he will not do so voluntarily he must be compelled by every means available. You, as an employee of The People, have sworn an oath to support and defend the Constitution.

We The People are demanding you to make every effort, both public and private, to resolve this fundamental Constitutional question before 20 January.

You’re missing the point. Regardless of how one views the merits of the issue (I linked the American Thinker article for the counterpoint view), no Federal court is going to issue an injunction to prevent Obama from either being elected or taking the oath of office.

I belive that on December 5th many Americans will be surprised when they hear that more than 4 Supreme Court Justices voted to fully hear the Leo Donofrio case.

I also believe that then and only then will the MSM mention anything about the cases before the USSC or before any other court across the country.

Without our Constitution being upheld, this country as we know it will be gone forever. The nine Honorable Supreme Court Justices know that and will uphold the Constitution.
