Based upon Obama's sparse legislative voting record, there hasn't been a issue he voted on that wasn't from the left.

In other words it's way too early to start moving him to the center.

And I wonder what Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, Nation of Islam, and Jeremiah Wright are saying about their idol.

Jesse Jackson might reconsider his threat.

He hasn’t even gotten into office. It looks like the only thing that might save him from his supporters is that Bill Clinton plans to move into the white house at the same time.

"Well, that response does not pass the laugh test! Or perhaps the correct translation is, "We're so sure we'll win the next election, we don't even have to take that into consideration."

Janice - that's exactly what they believe. Do you have any evidence to the contrary? And...if your answer is the GOP, that doesn't pass the laugh test.

More than a few Obama fans are experiencing buyer's remorse as they discover that "The One" seems to be abandoning them and their policies.

More than a few = a handful... The change and hope crowd is the same kind as those from 16 years ago who thought they were going to get free health care and a homosexual military. Right now they all still have the glaze over their eyes and smiles on their faces, just like 16 years ago.

Obama’s selections are all designed to lull the American public into even more complacency.

The agenda is still Marxist...more govt control, and more govt programs. The cuts will be military and defence. Not exactly something to make one complacent.

I, for one, think we should give the new administration a break after all look how considerate they were during the start of the 2 Bush terms. ~sarc~

The war in Iraq is over. We won. It is not an issue. He doesn’t have to do a damn thing about it.

Janet Napolitano as Homeland Security? The war will be here before long.

>> While Obama is filling top slots of his Administration with politicians from the center,

What a crock. They are only the “center” when viewed from the far left. The “center” has moved way too far left in the world of the MSM. And that to me is one of our basic problems.

Perhaps a bad economy will shield us from the worst of it.

Imagine this Marxist with the economy of the 90’s as a tailwind.

Yes, he will institute policies that are Marxist and that will aid in the destruction of our traditional society. Yes, he will appease our enemies and cut our defense capabilities.

But I don’t think he’ll be able to “reform the economy” (ie, implement socialism wholesale) in the present condition of the economy.

It’s up to us to only buy essentials and not participate in propping up the economy. When you get your stimulus check, put it in a money market or something, not as a down payment on a big ticket item. Reduce your tax liability. Don’t fund the beast.

When confronted with the far left's disappointment over the first appointments to be announced, one of the Transition team members responded, "An Obama White House will be focused on meeting the next challenge, not winning the next election."

"Always a line with these people."

Obama's selections are nothing more than the typical "Community Organizer" heirarchy.

Hillary should logically get head OF Health etc....

Biden has already disappeared

These appointments appear to me to all be mismatches...

Something is very wrong IMHO.

While Obama is filling top slots of his Administration with politicians from the center, his agenda will be thrust forward by the Schedule C minions in the lower levels of government who will be able to work under the radar to push his far left ideology.

These are the actual morons we're going to have to be facing on a day-to-day basis for at least the next foru years as they fill up the bureaucracies of such things as the IRS, the EPA, DHS, TSA, etc.

This just shows how people continue to allow themselves to be duped & actually believe political rhetoric. The whole slogan of change was just a typical cynical ploy which was used for electoral purposes. There is no way that the duopoly party rule will ever deviate from their own positions.
