So-called "journalists" don't want to understand gun rights, freedom of religion or any other conservative issues, they'd rather take the easy way out and be snarky. Hope that unemployment check covers the expensive apartment rent, Alison and Corky!

Were buying two possibly three—revolver, handgun, and possibly a long gun. We are taking lessons and looking forward to range time. If we don’t need ‘em it will be good sport practicing. If I ever need to use it I will know how. :-). I learned how to fire a pistol and a 22 when I was six. My daddy had us out there in the woods practicing. Six was way too many years ago. LOL.

Journalists not understanding gun rights might be charitable as I often think that they really might understand them but are subservient to the anti gun dialectic as sell outs just to maintain their high profile & “good standing” reputation -ie: controlled - with their bosses as reporters.

Was in a big gun shop today looking for some accessories. I already have all the guns I and five generations of my descendants can use.

They were cleaned out of EVERY semi-automatic rifle except an M1 carbine and a couple of overpriced Steyr AUG knockoffs. No doubt those will be gone tomorrow.

My husband went to a gun show last Saturday and he said it was jam packed. He's also got backorders on his reloading supplies that may take up to 4 weeks to get here when they usually get here in 3 days.

You reckon this has anything to do with it?

Assault Weapons Ban Introduced…by Five R.I.N.O.sThese five supposed Republican are nothing more than jackasses in elephant's clothing. Rep. Mark Kirk has introduced a bill, H.R. 6257: Assault Weapons Ban Reauthorization Act of 2008, which would "To reinstate the Public Safety and Recreational Firearms Use Protection Act." The bill has been co-sponsored by the other four jackasses listed above. All of them claim to be Republicans.

Normally, reloading components are the most readily available of firearms "stuff," but... since Duh!1 is obviously an enemy of the 2A ( not to mention the whole Bill of Rights, see my post for details ) and since firearms are useless without ammo, expect sales for reloading gear and ammo to go thru the roof...

They are only talking about October, not even into the election which kicked off an even larger spending spree.

"New Yorkers that have guns often get them from other states, Pennsylvania and Florida in particular," theorized Evan Thies, a gun control advocate and City Council candidate.

Someone should clue City Council candidate Thies that, unless they're doing a transfer through a NY dealer, the proper title for New Yorkers who get their guns from other states is 'criminals.'

Both of the gunshops I frequent say sales are WAAAAAAAAAAAAY up. Online bulk ammo suppliers like Sportsman's Guide and Midway USA are experiencing supply problems. I've had to shop around to buy bulk .44Mag and .40S&W ammo.

Hey Travis. I shot my new Tracker .44 Mag yesterday for the first time. The gas relief port system really reduces the recoil. It wasn't any rougher than shooting my .357. Great for head shots.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE DAG

WEDNESDAY, JUNE 16, 1999 (202) 616-2777

WWW.USDOJ.GOV TDD (202) 514-1888

STATEMENT BY DEPUTY ATTORNEY GENERAL ERIC H. HOLDER, JR.

WASHINGTON, DC -- Deputy Attorney General Eric H. Holder, Jr. today held a press conference to urge Members of Congress to adopt reasonable gun legislation. He issued the following statement.

"Good Afternoon. We are here today because the House of Representatives has begun debate on legislation that can make a critical difference to law enforcement, and to the safety of all Americans.

"Today Individual Members of Congress have a clear-cut choice to make. Either they can cave in to the narrow, special interests that value the cold, hard steel of guns more than the lives of children, neighbors and police officers, or they can fulfill the mandate of the broad majority of the American public by supporting a reasonable, common sense bill that would make all of us safer from armed criminals. The choice for each House Member is just that stark.

"As most of you know, I have served as a judge, as the chief prosecutor for the District of Columbia, and for the past two years as the Deputy Attorney General of the United States. I know the harm that guns can do - to individuals, to families, and to communities. My concern about easy access to guns in our society is built on my professional experience and the tragedies I have encountered in my work day life. But even more important, I am a father, and I want to be sure that we here in Washington do everything we can -- everything in our power -- to make our communities, our schools and our nation a safer place for our kids.....

Barack Obama's 10 Point Plan to "Change" The Second Amendment

Monday, July 28, 2008

In fact, among key advisors chosen by Obama to vet possible running mates is Eric HOLDER, who was Attorney General Janet Reno’s top deputy. Holder, as the Justice Department point man on all gun-control schemes, was among the top officials announcing the Clinton-Gore extortion agreement in 2000.

The “change” Obama and his close allies—like George Soros’ Moveon.org—seek is a complete regime change driven by a radical political agenda.

Among the many requirements of that agreement, a crucial one gave key elements of the gun-ban movement total oversight of the firearm industry and an ability to destroy it by running it out of business. None of this would ever have passed Congress as law, yet this stranglehold was achieved through the bureaucratic back door by Bill Clinton’s executive branch.

Backdoor bureaucratic gun-control schemes in the waning days of the Clinton administration also included diversion of millions of taxpayer dollars to HUD “gun buybacks” and gun destruction schemes; and development of so-called “smart gun” technologies and “ballistic fingerprinting.”

The ultimate aim of “smart gun” technology—to prevent a firearm being used by anyone but its registered owner—was spelled out in model legislation first floated in Pennsylvania, which said all handguns that did not possess “smart technology” would become contraband to be collected by police agencies.

All of this was created and pushed through the efforts of bureaucratic lawyers like Obama advisor HOLDER. Now the ultimate Washington insider lawyer, Holder is being touted as an Obama Supreme Court appointee. Recent headlines can put HOLDER’s reappearance on the political scene into sharp context. The Journal of the American Bar Association even asks: “Will Eric HOLDER Become the Next Attorney General?”
