The authors conclude that more “unintentional residual votes” are likely from people who intended to vote for Franken because people that can’t do simple cognitive tasks are the type of people likely to support him. Hard to disagree. What should be argued is that if you’re to dumb to fill in a little oval, your opinion shouldn’t count, and no party hack should be allowed to divine your intent.
