While it’s true there is a correlation between heavy meat eating/ low produce eating and health problems (cancer, heart disease), this does not mean that “no meat” makes a person healthier. A person with a 10% meat diet where the remaining 90% is whole plant foods will be infinitely healthier than the person eating white rice and fried tofu every day. Dairy is probably as bad or even worse for people than modest amounts of meat, so why is PETA focusing just on meat? Oh yeah, they want to make ice cream out of human breastmilk (groan).

Even vegan Dr. Joel Fuhrman (”Eat to Live”) admits that modest amounts of meat eating is probably fine as long as the rest of the diet is rich in greens, fruits, and legumes.

And about PETA’s claim that e. coli is a great risk to meat eaters... hello, remember the spinach deaths? Heck, you can get even . coli from water if it is contaminated.

I was wondering when someone would make the contaminated spinach point.

Fact is nothing eaten is probably safe from e-coli except fully cooked meat!
