Minnesota's U.S. Senate recount under scrutiny

As the official recount for Minnesota’s U.S. Senate seat slowly approaches, political wonks from across the country are wondering why so many of the miscounted or misreported ballots that have narrowed Norm Coleman’s lead over Al Franken were from Northeastern Minnesota.

The Coleman campaign has questioned an additional 100 votes awarded to Franken from a Mountain Iron precinct, and bloggers have been blustering about a 246-vote swing to Franken that came out of Two Harbors.

Lake County Auditor Steve McMahon took a little flak from a FOX News reporter over that Wednesday, the same day the Wall Street Journal ran an editorial that took the city to task over the issue.

"My own hope is that after franken gets elected and then booted out on his ass, a decent republican runs and takes the state. Fake conservatives do more damage, as all real conservatives are tainted by their existance.

Oh, gosh, another 99Percenter. Coleman is not a pure conservative, but he's largely conservative. Definitely more conservative than McCain. He's about where Palin is. We need to support him strongly.

Coleman is nowhere near Palin - what are you smoking? He's a complete squish, although he's our squish. But don't make him out to be something that he isn't. From Iraq to energy issues to immigration, Normy moistens his finger and goes whichever way the wind is blowing. He shows no leadership on any issues. I will give him kudos for his investigation into the Oil For Food scandal, but his failure to articulate that during the campaign was a mystery.

And that's not including his Bill Clinto problem (yes, it's true).

Good - glad that I can amuse you.

I am not a troll - nothing in what I said is trollish. I corrected someone who was making a mistake of FACT, not opinion - because as a conservative, I deal in facts, not emotions.

Further: My family is from Minnesota - my father knows Norm Coleman from when he was mayor of St. Paul. He isn’t the conservative you are awaiting for. He is a former Democrat - his family is from New York - he was a friggin hippie, for christ sakes- and his business dealings have always been a little shady - that is now beginning to come to light - but those of use who know him and his past knew this was coming. He was recruited by Rove for his pro business, not conservative, bona-fides.

You need to man up and realize that two adults - I am assuming, against evidence to the contrary that you are an adult - can look at something and have a difference of opinion. You love Norm? Great. I for one will be happier with a true conservative there. Fake conservatives have cost this party a lot - and you need the intellectual honesty to be able to see that.

No - I am not a troll - but you, sir, are just simply rude.
