New DNC Chairman should be one of the Mediascum types — after all, they are already so effective at coordinating DNC priorities from within their own networks...... why doesn’t one of them get the chance to work directly from the DNC?

such resignations are pretty routine — however, Dean got the job and took credit for devising the strategy that supposedly led to the 2006 victories (didn’t work very well in CT though, eh Yowie?).
