It is time for a letter campaign to Pres. Bush at the end of his tour of duty requesting (politely) that the remaining Haditha defendants (Chessani & Wuterich) be pardoned/reprieved.
Likewise, we should, in a separate letter, as the same for border agents Campion & Ramos.
More than anything else, the result of such a campaign will tell us where the heart of George Bush was throughout his entire presidency. The witchhunt should end with the Haditha Marines, and the injustice should end with Campion & Ramos.
Anybody know the process?
Can President Bush pardon/reprieve LtCol Chessani and SSgt Wuterich at this point in the process? I did not think he could intervene unless they were found guilty. Re. agents Campion and Ramos, I’d think that would be possible. Any ideas, Red?
As a matter of fact, it's fairly straightforward. See here.
