You’re right, I realized after my post, you were responding to another poster. :)

My apologies.

I’m getting a bit infuriated with the treatment of Palin, and get carried away sometimes.

Now may not be the time, for you to be taking the position that we need to tone down support of Palin.

Just saying.

Boy... calling in the big guns! Geesh.. I’m scared.

Can’t stand on your own merits and need Jim to back you?

Your post disparages Governor Palin by the very way you post.

You know that.
Your past posts highlight her beauty and sexuality, which is the problem with the MSM in the first place. You can give her no credit for her accomplishments other than her beauty?
“The GOP could do a lot worse than [her]!”
My attacks as you well know are on your ideas... believe me I am not planning on hanging you in effigy in my front yard - as was done in W. Hollywood to Palin. You may have given her begrudging respect in a prior post, but this post supports the attacks on this woman and I choose to defend her.
You must not have much faith in your position if you need to waddle over to the tenets of FR and twist the definition to protect yourself. Grow up. Defend your pandering to those who are tearing this woman apart or admit you are wrong.

DO NOT INVEST IN PEOPLE, invest in ideas. We will win these next elections because our ideas are better. Which means it's time to dump intellectual lightweights like Sarah Palin, and return this to the party of Bennett and Gingrich.

First you will have to prove your point about Palin.

Everything you have stated is built on a completely shakey foundation of insinuations and unsourced second-hand statements from Campaign Carl Cameron is no friend to conservatives.

I dare say you probably have a problem with social and fiscal conservatives as Carl does and many of the commentators on FoxNews and probably most of McCain's campaign staff an McCain himself.

Give it a rest unless you can prove your point.

So far your argument is nothing but hot air without any facts.

It’s called sensationalism

No, it's called 'telephone'

Remember that game as a kid. What probably happened was somebody said that they wished she would show up in a towel... :)

Exactly. Being a snob about it is stupid and bad form.

They treat Palin like she was a high school drop out who can’t get through community college classes.

She’s not. She does have education. She no doubt occasionally misspeaks, but so does everyone. She’s smart and she’s not afraid to work hard and accomplish. I love her.

Perhaps you should read my posts more carefully and not mistake open-mindedness with being swayed.

I'm familiar with many of your posts...and yes, you are very open-minded to the gossip mill of unnamed sources, you seem to revel in that particular genre.

How recently have you read the transcripts from the investigations of her brother in law?

OK, I'll bite, why would I care?

To me, these things are believable...and demonstrate the culture-clash we're facing. Gov. Palin presented herself as an unintellectual, regular person...and perhaps that's true.

If anonymous gossip from backbiting political operatives is believable, your threshold of belief is extremely low.

You might try forming your opinions based on a variety of sources. The unfiltered words of Governor Palin herself would be start.

Amen.

But I do think that we Christians have dropped the ball and failed in a lot of ways. Me myself, chief among them. Someone I was praying for, for years, killed themselves recently and it really put the vapor of our lives here in perspective. Have mercy and help us Lord.

What kind of a moron reporter would believe that the Governor of Alaska doesn't know what nations are in North America? Why would someone even "report" that?

We must find out the name of every staffer who leaked this info, and they must be FOREVER blacklisted from any role in any future GOP campaign.

Until we get names, I for one think that all these “accusations” are bs.

The North America and Africa quotes are ridiculous lies. You don't need "names" for that. Nicole Wallace will be waiting tables for a living when FReepers get through with her.

Carl Cameron has been an A-Hole for a long long time.

You would have to believe Sarah is much dumber than slow Joe to believe any of this crap — At least Sarah didn’t spend most of the campaign in a closet with duct tape over her mouth, sitting next to whatever that hate filled women is.

McCain and his staffer’s campaign strategy is the spectacular failure here, not Sarah. Who do you think raised the money? It sure wasn’t Yosemite Sam and “My Friends”.

"Wasilla hillbillies looting Nieman Marcus from coast-to-coast"

Whoever said this one doesn't know that the correct term is "valley trash" and it's fairly common for Alaskans to do some side trips to shop when visiting the "lower 48".

At best, the "anonymous" reports are from some intolerant city dweller who has never lived in a rural area. At worst, it's someone who feels very threatened or jealous. Having been at the receiving end of a LDS hatchet job, I'm inclined to suspect it was a Romney supporter.

Governor Palin hasn't pretended to be something she's not, has quite a bit of common sense, and, unlike most politicians, has done what she campaigned on.

Something the lower 48 hasn't realized is that Alaska had a huge economic downturn in the late 1980's when home prices tanked 50%. Recent enough and drastic enough that people still talk about it. She knows it's time to quit messing around with feel-good talk and environmentalists and drill, mine, log, etc.

She is a governor. The governor is concerned with running her state. I don’t believed any of these stories because the liberal template is that all republicans are dumber than Dan Quayle was reported to be. If she runs for president in 2012, she has my vote, money and support.

(I know of a handful of people who didn't vote for McCain because of Sarah Palin.)

Dwarfed by the number who didn't vote for McCain because of his failure to address the bailout properly;

or because he was *white*;

or because he was "too old"

or he was going to raise taxes (e.g. on health benefits)

or because of Bush

Compare that to the base who turned out for Palin who would otherwise have sat out this election "to send a message."

McCain promised his strategy was to reach across and gain the moderates.

He did NOT assault either Obama ("he's not a socialst, he'd make a fine President) or Congress more than once (11% approval rating).

And the middle ran to Obama.

Epic FAIL.

I know, it's easy to think that your own particular clique is representative.

But the country has people from all *over* the ideological spectrum, left, right, center, and "careless".

Single women broke heavily for Obama in PA, since he was promising them goodies; and after President Bush's hard work, and the Dems' relentless trashing of him without response, "terrorism" once more seems like something made up by Republicans which doesn't happen in the real world.

I think it'll take 2 or three mass-casualty attacks on the US, several years into the Obama administration; or a Russian invasion of Europe; or China moving on Taiwan and South Korea being overrun by North Korea, before people actually admit that there is something wrong with Obama.

That, or the implementation of his economic plans, which will make him the nation's first black Jimmy Carter.

Kyrie Eleison.

If Palin was such a firebrand, then how do you explain the fall in GOP turnout this time around?

Amnesty.

McCain-Feingold.

Kicking Evangelicals in the teeth during 2000.

No coherent message.

Anger at the Bailout.

"Sending a message" to the RINOs.

McCain promised to win the moderates, and he ran like one.

He did NOT deliver.

Epic FAIL on his part.

Nice try, though.
