Hey that’s what I do as well. I don’t need to, I have plenty of money, but I like being completely self sustained, I’m even off the electric grid most of the time. You never know when the power goes out around here, or for how long. In the winter after a blizzard, it could be for days.
I don’t do the goat thing however, but I’ve been thinking about it lately. They might make good self propelled automatic lawn mowers. Do they? or do they wreck the turf?

We have invasive (3 types) of berry bushes.
However you need to choose lawn or farm.

I want to build a goat housing area and get my hay on delivery/food too and with the chickens a secure spot so my 3 Labs dont have a conveinant raw dinner.

It is in the planning stage and I have to get accred it ted livestock..
