Look what's on their website RIGHT NOW. Please Post if you have been able to make at least 1 call or email, thanks. Phone for McCain-Palin 2008

1. Get out your own home phone its easy and convenient 2. Start up your computer and click on the link above to go to the main campaign site. 3. Click the Start button below to begin the phone bank. Each screen will have one phone number to call. Read over the script a few times before you begin calling so you are comfortable with it.

Please do not make any calls before 10AM Eastern Time or after 9 PM.

There is no time limitation on this script so take your time. Good Luck!

TOPICS: Politics/Elections
KEYWORDS: campaign; kos; mccain; obama; phone
Like Ziva, I urge FReepers who are not yet working on the McCain campaign in some manner start making phone calls from an online list from the comfort of their home. Using the link below, you register and can make a limited number of calls. They provide the phone numbers and the scripts on your browser. You then have to wait an hour to be able to make more calls. However, once you have made a number of calls, you can request the ability to make unlimited calls by emailing the link on the last page after you finish your calls.

Like Sun said, You can make calls whether or not you have dial-up. I have dial-up, and simply click off the internet, while making the call, go back online to record my results with the McCain/Palin camp, and get the phone number for the next person to call.

Not OFFICIAL but: Script ideas...

Hi, I ‘—and I just wanted to mention that…

Recently, a bill was introduced by Congressman George Miller, democrat of CA to eliminate the tax deduction of 401K contributions and force us all to pay increased taxes. The law would obviously increase downward pressure on the stock market, though forced 401k liquidations.

John McCain would veto this bill. Instead, he will get our economy back on track by allowing a 10% tax credit for R&D investments and accelerated equipment depreciation to create jobs, especially through small businesses.

As a McCain volunteer, I hope we can count on you support November the 4th.

[Are you interested in this issue?][or end here if leaving message]

He will reform Washington by going after Freddie, Fannie Mae and Acorn.

He will break our dependence on foreign oil, which will cut prices at the pump. McCain will employ an ‘all of the above’ strategy to diversify our sources of energy.

On defense, he will not be tested as an inexperienced president as Biden has pointed out Obama would be.

[Best script for NH or seasoned citizens] As we are all feeling the pinch of higher energy prices and John McCain will lower energy prices through increased production in a environmentally friendly way. Obama will discourage employers to maintain health coverage for employees through unreasonable mandates. This demand induced forced rationing of existing government healthcare such as Medicare and Medicaid will create shortages of doctor and facilities.

Since, Obama has changed on his commitment to use public financing, he has an enormous money advantage and it is only through grass roots efforts that we are able to get the word out.

He claims to have tattooed his arm, something akin to a meth addict, creepy remembrances of forced Holocaust tattooing on the arm. See: http://www.dailykos.com/storyonly/2008/10/29/212558/98

So far I got about 12 committed Mac votes ... not useless phone calls. I think one on one is the way to convince people.

I spent the early part of this day calling friends and relatives (38), in an attempt to persuade them to voting for McCain. To my surprise … all 38 (many of them died in the wool democrats) said they were voting McCain. I shall sleep with pleasant dreams tonight. ;-)

I made a CD (600 mb of YouTube clips), also a printout about the Black Liberation Theology with that hateful quote from James Cone.
I start conversations whereever I go and have even been able to inform some black people about what Obama is all about.

To date I’ve made a couple of hundred calls. I have only called people in Florida. I am in NC, and when I signed up to do this, I was given Florida telephone numbers. I also signed up at Zero’s site and called the nearly 100 numbers given to me by his campaign, but used the McCain script with them. Those were all local calls for me, lol. I knew a lot of the folks I called, some I even go to church with, and regardless of their party affiliation, MOST of them are voting for McCain!

I have a question about this thing.

When you call, does your phone number get blocked in some way? I’m one of those wacky young ‘I only have a cell phone’ people and I’m reluctant to use my only phone number to use to call people that could harass me in return.

How does a typical phone call go? Is there a conversation of some kind or is it just “I hope we can count on your vote. Yes? Awesome. Go McCain” or “I hope we can count on your vote? No? Well, thank you anyway...” or is it more like “No? Well, thank you but my mother actually looks nothing like that...”

I live in NJ and I’ve been going to PA every weekend to volunteer at the Repub Headquarters. I’ve made hundreds of phone calls trying to turn PA red!

*

Per Call Blocking
Blocks sending of name and phone number on outgoing individual call. Must be done for each call. (Free.)

* To use: *67 (+ number being dialed)

You can test Per Call Blocking by trying it out on 800/562-5588. (If blocking is not working, you will get some repair service.)

If anyone’s good with halloween-style makeup, a fun prank that takes off on the “tattoo” might be played. Just crank it up a notch or two (using makeup or ketchup if you catch my drift).
