I’ve been thinking about this... while it goes against my grain, this idea that Food Stamps will be part of the next stimulus package, it brings to mind that very point..

we should put in requests for food stamps, in order to clog the system.

Who says that "Fairness" requires the dem's position be the balance for Rush's or Sean's? Maybe Rush could be balanced with the views of a monarchist or a proponent of feudalism.

Fairness has lots more sides than two.

That is so funny.

I can just hear Rush reading the Communist Manifesto with feeling! You took care of my depression!

Two words: Pirate Radio.

Technology has come a long way... If you have a cellphone they can locate you through GPS. What makes you think they would have trouble finding some Pirate Radio station and shutting it down?

We're not living in the mid 20th century - This is the 21st Century and they have access to all kinds of technologies that can shut down free speech. Count on it.

If the Fairness Doctrine passes, you may find yourselves in Bin Laden's situation... Releasing a video tape of Rush every 4 months. It doesn't seem to be working too well for the terrorist. Will it work for you?

Let's flip that a second. Imagine that Obama knew all about William Ayers and decided he'd be a good guy to have around to "enforce" stuff.

And so he is. Just a matter of time until it's revealed this particular Mad Bomber is still doing bombings.

” Corruption we can survive, the more I have read about and listened to Obama the more I convinced he is a creature of William Ayers and the Weather Underground, therefore I am very afraid.”

The Clintons have always been about power and money and glory for themselves.
We would not have been happy, but, the country could have survived a Hillary presidency.
Obama is all about empowering his most radical associates from the world of black liberation theology
ala the Nation of Islam to Marxist comrades to anti American Muslims.
Domestic and international.
Obama will control the most powerful country on earth with the freedom to do as he wishes.
He will be unstoppable.
His very open plans for a paramilitary corps should alarm everyone.
Obama’s own private army-his SA.
Be afraid. Be very afraid.
If the choice for president was between Hillary and Obama-I’d vote Hillary in a heartbeat.

‘NEWS’ programs were not subject to the old fairness doctrine.
ABC, CBS, NBC were thus exempt.

Rush could engineer his show to be the 3hr EIB newscast.
If they craft the bill to apply only to radio he could move the 3hr newscast to FOX NEWS. It would basically be what you see if you watch his 3hr webcam broadcast now.

If they shut down FreeRepublic we could go P2P and freeper land would exist in no single location...no servers that could be shut down. Initial linkup to the network could be done using several sources...ThePirateBay would be a nice one. Access to the network could be controlled by admins and powered cryptographically...so as to kill off troublemakers and enforce rules.

You would have to shut the internet down to kill off a well designed P2P app....there are simply too many ways to distribute the data.

"Well... Are you?"

Yes I am. If we lose this election, then it won't mean much to lose talk radio. Why? Because the election loss will prove that talk radio was of little or no effect.

That said, I don't think we'll lose because of talk radio.

"If Congress can vote a $700B Bill over the objections of 95% of the public, they can do anything with a President Obama."

This is true. What stopped these pirates from stealing $700 trillion for the so-called "emergency bailout"?

The self-proclaimed aristocrats in Congress have foregone any pretense of the Founders' original intent as a "Representative Government."

As to a President Obama and Democrat-controlled Congress attempting to re-implement the 'Fairness Doctrine,' they'd do so under a hailstorm of protest and at their own risk.

And don’t for a moment think “why, they wouldn’t dare!” These are dedicated Marxists. They will dare anything. The first and second amendments will be null and void. No criticism will be permitted. If someone had told the average American of the 40s that he could be arrested for walking down the street with a cigarette, don’t you think he would have laughed? Ain’t funny now, is it!

That is why if Obama gets in, the chances are VERY GREAT we could end up having a second bloody civil war. This is one of the fears I have about an Obama White House.

Rather than the audience, it will more interesting to see what the Talk Radio hosts do: are they willing fight for their own First Amendment??

Rush and Hannity should just go lib...spread the word about what the Congress and Obama are doing(No flames, please...the thread pre-supposes an Obama victory) As it is, for all the ranting I hear about how right-wing Limbaugh is, he's a better source for news about the Left than the MSM will ever be. For the most part, I know what Rush's take on something will be before he says it.

Plus off-shoring to another country. High-tech development is a lot faster then government buracracy.

Talk Radio hosts can’t do it themselves. They are far outnumbered.
Their Free Speech Rights are our Free Speech Rights. Will be interesting to see how many “you’s” will stand and fight with the Talk Radio Hosts.

I suspect SOMEONE will take the Fairness Doctrine to the courts right after it is passed!

With Obama-appointed jurists, they won't have much success...

Of all the things elected Democrats could do that is worrisome, the Fairness Doctrine isn’t one of them. If you really believe, in this media, age that political speech can be suppressed with some silly law, you’re smoking something. And besides, if the polls are to believed, Dems are fairing just fine in the age of Rush, Dennis, Michael and Hugh. Why would they upset the system that gave them absolute control of the federal government? If they want to try to pass silly, unconstitutional, and enforceable laws that will make martyrs out of their opposition, great!
