Fair enough. Your pardon and my thanks for allowing me to disturb your thoughts.

Scripture teaches . . . honor to whom honor is due.

I prefer to avoid telling people who sense something in their spirit that they are wrong when they may well be right and certainly deserve the benefit of the doubt when they are earnestly Biblically following Jesus.

By the same token, I know the pit whereof I was dug.

I know enough wisdom to know it’s best to pass praise up to God who’s the author of all things good.

Scripture teaches that we are tested by praise. I want to pass all such tests.

I also want to avoid dinigrating anything that God pours through me.

Humility is not, per se, denying God pouring good through one’s self . . . but in noting THE SOURCE of any and all GOOD through, in, beside, around, in view of ones’ self.

The pharisees criticized the woman with the alabaster container of priceless perfume . . . Jesus refused to allow her to be robbed of her blessing.

Gidget7 blessed me as unto The Lord God, the author of all good in anyone. I refuse to contribute to her being robbed of her blessing therefrom.

Of course, I have little doubt of your probable seDiments on the matter.

I do advocacy work for abused children in foster care. I see firsthand what these kids go through, being shuffled from foster home to foster home, with never a stable adult presence in their lives. It makes me ill that McCain has pandered to the fundamentalists in opposing adoption by loving gay parents of children who desperately need homes.

You are certainly not conservative or Biblical in your Presbyterianism. If you were you would not be comitting verbicide by adopting for yourself the homesexual lexicon. You are probably Presbyterian church USA, a denomination that has been co-opted by numerous liberal, leftist, godless heretics, and you seem to have bought into it hook, line and sinker.

I believe that homosexuality is genetic and not chosen, any more than eye color or skin color is chosen. I utterly reject the demonization of gay people that I often see on this site. It makes me ill that people who call themselves Christian would pre-judge the character and hearts of people they do not even know, and assume the terrible things about them that I have sometimes seen described on this site. The gay families I have known are loving and decent people who would sooner kill themselves than harm any child. They do not have sex in the living room in front of their children, and they are not out to “convert” anybody.

Substitute the words, "alcoholic" and "active alchoholics" for "homosexuality" and "gay people" in your paragraph, and maybe you will see how absurd your condoning of homosexual behavior is.

Cordially,

Thanks, well said. I will stick with ‘queer’ or ‘deviant’ or such as they often are NOT ‘homosexual’ - they are simply sexual deviants looking for thrills and avoiding responsibility.

I don’t like the word “homosexual” - I just use it for convention mainly so as to be able to influence those who haven’t seen the light of truth about the “gay” agenda. When talking in private, I use other words...

You didn’t disturb my thoughts! I haven’t been around FR for more than a year but was very active for several years, hope to get my toes wet again. Or dive in...

See my motive for using words in my response to narses above.

Additionally, when I was more active here, I had many personal discussions via freepmail and email with members of FR who were struggling with SSAD - Same Sex Attraction Disorder - two or three of whom overcame their attractions, IIRC. I don’t want to offend people who are struggling to become free of same sex desires. There are lost souls who want to be found, and there are lost souls who are diving into the abyss, taking others with them.

I see a big difference between the two.

You do realize that every single person has at least a dozen genetic mutations?

How do you know that to be a fact?

There are a lot of Republicans like myself who do not want Sarah Palin as President.

Ok. You are 1.

Make it 2. I watch and listen to Palin and I'm hoping to hear greatness...but it never comes. Scary that she could be President. Feels like American Idol.

Newcomers need to be reminded of what FreeRepublic stands for. They come here, and never think to research our principles. Instead, they assume FreeRepublic is their own soapbox, pushing their own platform/agenda.

With the incredible # of 'conservatives' here supporting the moderate liberal republican McCain, it's open season on 'principles'.

It's really quite easy. Obama is such a socialist her makes McCain look conservative. Sure McCain's maybe the last republican I want to see in the White House but Osama is a real threat to this republic.

Go ahead and vote for a 3rd party but first tell me when the last time a 3rd party candidate became president.

Anyone who doesn't vote for McCain is letting Obama win in my mind.

Another wasted vote, another tacit supporter of Obama. How very sad.

“You do realize that every single person has at least a dozen genetic mutations?

How do you know that to be a fact?”

If that were not true, we would be genetically identical to your parents. Do every single one of your traits come from your parents?

Mutations are how we are all different, how two low-intelligence people can have a very smart baby, how a family with no history of genetic defects can have a Down Syndrome baby.

Mutations are normal. They’re God’s way of making each of us unique.

Thank you, narses! Time for what?

I did a vanity of “I’m Back” about three weeks ago for my friends and “sparring partners” but it soon disappeared. I’m not important! hehe!

wagglebee has done a great job with the ping lists but he is kindly allowing me to help again; I will get more active very soon. I have a lot of other projects and one is time sensitive, plus the freaking election - ack choke! Hard to not read about it. I hope there aren’t massive violent riots when Obama loses.

TIME TO CELEBRATE YOUR RETURN!

Welcome back. Riots there will be. Sad but predictable. Then a time for purging and then healing. Must purge though.
