“Green” energy such as wind and solar is too diffuse and erratic to be practical on the scale of our national requirements and is not economically competitive. Some congressmen are ignorant of physics and think that if they pass some restrictive legislation that scientists will buckle down and pull some technical miracle out their hat. Other congressmen know better but are using environmentalism to deliberately destroy our country. The congress needs to be entirely replaced by people from the real world.
You be right about the destruction of the economy angle, socialism is designed to spread the misery around, and environmentalism is the angle be used to dupe people. It's the old pollution ruse. If CO2 is a dangerous pollutant, can we ask Obama and the other Democrats to stop breathing and save the planet? If not, why not?
The good news is with the trend line of the sun, it will soon get so cold that even the 'stoopidist' amongst us will realize something is wrong. Where is our CO2 blanket?
