The polls show Obama with over a 13 point lead in PA; it says a lot that Obama needs to bring out the "big guns" to Joe Biden's "hometown", one that has voted blue in every presidential election since 1992. Biden was in Wilkes-Barre a few weeks ago, and drew only a handful of people.

It also says a lot that Bill Clinton put a plug in for the local US Rep, Paul Kanjorski, a 12 term Congressman who is chairman of the House Subcommittee that oversees FANNIE MAE and FREDDIE MAC.

And yet Obama stays away; instead, he went to Philly on Saturday, where he KNEW that he would have a big crowd. Biden was in Wilkes-Barre a few weeks ago, which is only a 20 minute drive south of Scranton, and someone I know that was there, tells me that there were all of 200 people, including the press.

Northeast PA is Hillary country, and could turn out to be a swing area of the state.

3,000 people for a “big guns” rally dosn’t sound like much! Palin can draw that crowd in a McDonalds!

Palin would draw a much larger crowd in PA. In fact, I believe she has.

Lou Barletta is leading Kanjorski in the polls. Lou is the one who cracked down on illegal immigration in Hazleton. When he came up for reelection, both parties nominated him as their candidate.

I helped a couple of younger girls I work with here in Pa get registered. They were both so excited to get their cards on the mail. They both registered Dems but can't stand Obama and can't wait to vote for MCcain. They were telling me about their grandmother who has voted Dem for 60 years but will not vote for Obama either. She may stay home but either way she is not pulling lever for him. I have heard this kind of story around here too many times to count. I think there is going to be shock and awe here once the votes are actually counted on Nov 4.

I was a big supporter of Sen Santorum in 06 but I could sense he was toast. I just don't see it this time around.

McCain’s running mate, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, will be in Scranton on Tuesday for a rally. She will be at the same Riverfront Sports Complex that held Sunday’s Democratic rally.

Reminder to Palin: Bring the Glade.

Damn, all the “Players” in one place. How dare they blame this financial mess on Republicans, when 3 of the top ten responsible FOR it were runnin their mouths off about how horrible it is right there... Those bastards should be fearing for their lives more realistically! Just DAMN, Democrats are just freakin BLIND. Their own reps in Gov did this to them, and they STILL buy the party BS hook line and sinker. What a bunch of fools.

This was almost as much an assemblage of political talent on one stage as when Sarah Palin campaigned there by herself.

FWIW, Gov Palin drew 6000 in Scranton just a few days ago.
