if you are still buying at these market levels it lowers your dollar cost average, probably the best you can do for a 401k while you have a long time horizon, I hate buying at record levels, with one exception, anti-capitalist in the white house, and I will get out before the bush tax cuts sunset
Applying the principle of misery loving company allow me tell you about an Ohio home builder who just got done screwing his public shareholders (including me) by taking the company private with an 8 cent on the dollar deal. LOL. The trick to laughing about it is not putting all of your eggs into one basket.
