They don’t need them if they can get LEO to use the force of law or threat of legal action from ‘truth squads’ to take the guns now, do they? This isn’t just about the 1st Amendment after all.
They can pretty much stifle any and every right they don’t like. Speak out for the 2nd amendment and you get arrested. Speak out for freedom of religion and you go to jail.
This is exactly what police states start with.
