...BUT...there is definitely something more going on here.

Yesterday, the Department received a referral alleging that the personal e-mail accounts of Gov. Sarah Palin, her staff, and her family had been unlawfully hacked. The Department is reviewing the matter, Justice Department spokeswoman Laura Sweeney said on Thursday.'
Her staff and family's email addresses weren't published in that Washington Post piece.
So, if her staff's emails were also illegally accessed, then Rubico (one of Obama's operatives) must have done the password reset approach on their email address too, after getting their addresses from her email account.
Either way, it stinks
And this is a lie perpetuated by the Left to set-up an approved and media sanctioned “fishing expedition”. If the Post had an issue, they could have easily contacted the appropriate authorities and filed a complaint and hope for an investigation.
If anything, this booger-encrusted trust fund hacker should be considered a domestic terrorist, as he hacked her account to cause her irreparable damage. For political reasons.
Send the punk to Gitmo and send a message.
That's pretty much what another mail server does.
Matt, heard McCain/Palin at the Villages on Sunday.
The Dems are hoping that this question won’t occur to most Americans. Kinda like that kindly old Florida couple with the scanner tricked-up to intercept cell phone conversations... and wonder of wonder’s they just happen to intercept John Boehner. That kinda coincidence just doesn’t ‘happen’.
when they find out who is was, and their link to the dems, just remember that nice little “elderly couple” in florida who just happened to be taping a cell phone conversation (illegally) with newt and someone else.
did they get punished? nope.
that 4chan.org site is disgusting
I dont recall if they were punished, but didn’t the congressman (I want to say McDermott)had to pay quite a hefty fine.
How did they know?
Just as a test, everyone should do a search on the different versions of your name, nicknames, etc., along with the word email, and see if your email address comes up.
You may be surprised.
Yeah, I heard about that.
I notice that the address in what you posted was “gov.sarah”, not “gov.palin”. That is an interesting difference.
She had two. gov.sarah and gov.palin
The ‘Sarah’ one is being investigated prior, thus the knowledege of it being in public documents.

Thanks for the LAT artcile link and post - not!
That’s a world of difference. That’s the same difference as between any other yahoo account and Palin’s. So either someone is typing things wrong, or the hacker did not get the address from that article. If it’s true that other (possibly non-yahoo) accounts were hacked/attempted then it’s more than just some kid getting his jollies trying to help Obama or embarrass Palin. Either someone was looking to embarrass, or they were digging for dirt. IMHO they were digging for dirt, and the kid splashing photos and screen shots around is a patsy. Especially one dumb enough to not edit the proxy address out of the screen shots. It would be interesting to see if someone else put the idea in this kid’s head to do this.
See 32.
I agree with you. There’s something going on here. I’m wondering if the Obama campaign was snooping into all their emails.
Thanks. That was answered in the thread (which I wasn’t aware of).
But, as I also noted, there is something else going on. It wasn’t just Governor Palin’s email, it was her staff and family’s email addresses too. See my post that links to some new details.
Obviously, one links to the other. If they got into her email addresses, they would have the email addies. But, they would also have to use the password reset (or some other means) to illegally access their accounts.
