WASHINGTON Florida Rep. Allen Boyd's son was arrested in Arizona Sunday and charged with human smuggling after K-9 dogs allegedly sniffed out individuals hiding in the bed of his truck.
John F. Boyd attempted to drive through a Border Patrol security check in Willcox, court documents revealed, according to KVOA-TV in Phoenix. Five illegal aliens, including a 6-year-old girl, were found in the truck.
The criminal complaint obtained by KVOA states, "At the primary inspection area, a Border Patrol K-9 alerted to the possible presence of illegal aliens in the bed of the truck. A primary inspection agent approached the truck and saw an individual hiding under a piece of plywood in the bed of the truck."
The documents also say the illegal immigrants planned to pay $3,000 each to Boyd to smuggle them into the final destination in the United States.
The vehicle contained "two plastic bags that contained several rocks of crystal methamphetamine, four unopened syringes, a spoon with white residue and burn marks on the bottom, and three knives. A further search of the vehicle revealed a Beretta 22LR pistol loaded with eight rounds of ammunition and a spare magazine loaded with eight rounds of ammunition in a suitcase in the bed of the truck," read documents cited by KVOA.
In a statement sent to FOXNews.com, the Democratic congressman acknowledged that his son attended a preliminary hearing on Monday and was charged with "alien smuggling."
"This is a family matter that my family and I will be dealing with privately. John is a grown man and must face the consequences for his actions, but he has the love and support of his family," Boyd said.
Boyd's office told FOXNews.com that he would not provide further comment.
.. but we have a parting of the ways..
..your negativity/insults are getting tiresome.
the 22 pistol in the suitcase is what they will nail him for.
What about prostitution? There was a 6-year old girl, the gender of the other people weren't mentioned. What was the statute that got Spitzer in bigger trouble, crossing state borders with a woman for solicitation?

I thought twice about sending that last post....the phone rang...and I hit send without thinking...
...You're entitled to what you think...you're honest...and even when I don't agree with you, I should treat you with dignity.
BTW, where did you get that picture of the crucifix in the water, if I may ask?
It’s OK I know you’re on the right side of the issue.
I made the picture myself. The cross is from some Cathedral In France I believe and the picture of the lake is one I took early in the morning a few weeks back.
The picture is unique/interesting....I couldn't imagine the context...
When I made the picture I was thinking of the rising tide of anti Christan sentiment but see Christanity still rising above it.
Actually That was just a rough draft. The nice thing about photoshop is the ability to go back and make changes. I just downloaded a set of new brushes today that I want to play with. (beams of light)
I like what this guy said, compared to the Rat Trash CC Kilpatrick Democrat Representative from Detroit, who will defend Kwamie Kilpatrick to the end, and never admit he is a criminal thug.
If these male politicians stayed home and raised their kids this never would have happened.
Do I need a sarcasm tag?
I am guessing yes. ;^)
LOL, okay, I am going over to the other congressman’s thread and I will use it there :-)
A FAMILY matter???!!! No, it’s not. He’s committing felonies against our country and our fellow citizens, I guess it’s not just a family matter!
Very nice sentiment....will look forward to the finished project.
???
The 6 year old girl more than likely was the daughter of someone he was smuggling. Let’s hope so anyway.
That would certainly be just awful if it wasn’t.
Doesn’t sound like they nailed him for that either. Just the smuggling. Something sounds very strange about this report.
---We wont even get into how much they can cost the tax payers.
Your Florida description reflects precisely our rural Virginia one.
And the costs go even beyond the dollars and cents, straight to the decimation of trust in and integrity of the laws and government of the United States, that is, not its constitutional foundation, but the politicians who circumvent it.
If the economic powers who lobby, bribe, and subvert for the illegal invasion really were there for the labor (the work that Americans won't do), it would be a straightforward matter to shore up the border, and inaugurate a temporary, monitored, regulated work program, starting at border entrances, continuing through designated housing, and using all that computer power routinely used to track terrorists, satellites, criminals, credit cards, toll payers, website users, etc. etc. All costing far less than the parasitic draw of twenty million illegals.
The government (CFR) plan is unfortunately far more insidious.
I hope he faces Mexican weapons possession charges while he is at it.
The problem with these "coyotes" is that they don't really know the intentions of the people on the receiving end of the transaction.
