There was a caller on our local talk radio station that said that a former Bush 41 official, a woman, wrote a book that has warned against the exact policy that Rush is talking about, the punishment of banks that refused to loan money to unqualified buyers. The banks were refused permission to expand if they did not make these loans.

Yes, Bush could have removed the EO, but he chose to expand on it, instead. Bush was obsessed with being liked. It was the same view that led Bush to be wrong on immigration.

Sometimes being liked is not leading.
